Decided to have a return stay for four nights at The Intercontinental after staying at The Ritz Carlton
Love both hotels for top service and facilities. The Ritz being two years old feels more luxurious but Intercontinental still feels very comfortable in higher rooms. The Ritz has the best high view of HK and The Intercontinental the best eye level view of the Harbour & HK.
The Club lounge is excellent and staff are very helpful and remembered me from previous visits.Nice to made important when you are not.
Very convenient location for shopping in Nathan Rd and Harbour City. The Star Ferry to HK Island is within easy walking distance. Gym is well equipped.
Dining at the newly renovated YanToh Heen Cantonese Restaurant was a wonderful gourmet experience. The transformation was total in decor, ambience, service and food. Think it is now deserving three Michelin Stars.Pre-order Peking Duck

Room Tip: Choose harbour view room for spectacular view night and day. Higher floor rooms tend to have less wear and tear.

From the moment that we arrived we were well looked after and the standard of service provided by all staff was fantastic. The room was clean and the bathroom amenities were great. The view from the room was outstanding and the lobby bar was most enjoyable. The only part that we weren't impressed with was the buffet breakfast and avoided it during the remainder of our stay. We would certainly stay at this hotel on our next visit to Hong Kong.

I have stayed at the InterContinental Hong Kong several times and it's always been a great place to stay. After a long day at work, the lobby bar is a great place to have a drink, grab a bite to eat and enjoy the beautiful view as you unwind. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I was there last January and I'm heading there again in a few days.

The IC HKG occupies one of the most desirable real estates in Hong Kong with a magnificent view of Victoria Harbor.

The lobby has a contemporary feel and service is attentive and personal. Behind the reception area is the lobby lounge offering dramatic views of Hong Kong island and its dramatic skyline. I stayed in an executive suite and it was spacious, very well appointed and the view was unparalleled.

The property is located one block from the Peninsula and next to SOGO store. It is within walking distance of Heritage 1881 and Canton Rd., where most luxury stores are located. In addition, it is adjacent to the Avenue of the Stars and one can easily catch the Star Ferry at the end of it.

I did not have a chance to use the pool and jacuzzi because it was a bit nippy but if weather is more agreeable, definitely try to relax in the jacuzzi and absorb the great view.

Just about every one knows of Peninsula Hotel on Kowloon however in the last many years the views from Peninsula Hotel have been blocked by the newish Hong Kong Cultural Centre. However from the Intercontinental there are almost uninterrupted views of the skyline of Hong Kong island where every night there is a sound and light show. The Intercontinental is the perfect place to watch it from. The rooms are very spacious and all the comforts are there as befits the Intercontinental brand. The staff are very obliging and will go out of their way to help. The breakfast spread is fantastic and the Chinese Restaurant serves excellent local foods from its restaurant near the top of the hotel.

Room Tip: Obviously rooms with views of the harbour are the ones to ask for.
