“Convenient location in Kowloon”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

We have just returned from staying 7 nights in Hong Kong. The Eaton was perfect for us, with its friendly service and free extras including a guided tour of the Jade market and the Temple Street night market, both of which are very close by. The room was fairly small and didn't have the best outlook, but it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The Jordan MTR station is close by, but we enjoyed the walk down to the harbour on several occasions, which was straight down Nathan road. This road was full of shops and colourful sights to see, including Kowloon Park half the way down. The Eaton has three restaurants on offer. We tried the Cantonese style cuisine at Yat Tung Heen and we were not disappointed, but the food was not cheap.

Room Tip: Our room on the 6th floor had the bathroom sink next to the bed, while the toilet and shower were se...

First visit to Hong Kong. Didnt like the hotel we were booked into by the Travel Agent & after searching for a hotel that was more or less the same price as the one the Travel Agent had booked, settled on the Eaton Hotel. What a good choice! The hotel is centrally situated in Kowloon with easy access to everything. We had 2 rooms - a twin that had a shower & a double with a full bathroom. Both rooms were a decent size & spotless with everything you need - functioning hairdryer, bottled water, bathroom goodies, lovely towels & facecloths, comfortable beds etc. What impressed me most coming from South Africa was the unobtrusive security. You cannot move without your keycard - not even the lift functions if you do not insert your card into the slot. No worries about being robbed. The restaurant was a bit pricey but the food offered was good. The hotel has a lovely outdoor patio were you can sit & have a drink or just a coffee. The only improvement would be that they try & have rooms ready earlier for people that have been on long flights & would like nothing better than to check in & have a shower!

no mention, it is good enough.it is better if you can improve a little bit of service for any guests no matter who is from oversea or mainland.

Nice hotel and good location, I will choose it for future if it is possible.

I was an invited speaker to a national seminar and traveling with a colleague. We booked into the Club room with two twin beds. We had been warned about the small sizes of hotel rooms in Hong Kong but this room was much bigger and better than ever expected. Our room was well appointed including tea pot, bottled water and an adaptor for our electrical appliances. Beds were comfortable and room VERY clean. We paid extra for the E Club and it was worth every penny. We had a full breakfast, tea (light lunch) and evening cocktails and appetizers. The staff in the Club were attentive and could take care of everything including check in and out. The hotel is in a great location close to all the sights in Kowloon and easy access to the Metro station which is the best and quickest way to get anywhere else. There so many hidden amenities including complimentary tours of the Temple Street night and Jade market and well as a Tai Chi master teaching a free class every morning in the patio. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Club room with access to E club

First time in Hong Kong and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. We had booked it as it was recommended by travel agent. Reasonably priced. Lovely room and hotel in good location for public transport and in the middle of several attractions in Kowloon which we were able to walk to. Didn't use roof top pool as weather was poor but it looked lovely and inviting. Hotel was peaceful and calm in the middle of bustling Hong Kong! Enjoyed coffee shop and afternoon tea. Staff very helpful.

This is a comfortable, well located hotel with a very good buffet breakfast.

The staff were quite friendly and helpful and we found nothing to complain about. It is several blocks from the nearest subway stop, however.

Thouroughly enjoyed my stay here for 5 nights. The Club Room was perfect; with not one but 2 showers to choose from! One of which had a choice of rain or standard spray, the other being a bathtub/shower combo. The breakfast in the mornings was of high quality and the afternoon and early evening light snacks and drinks in the Club Lounge were as good as anything I have had in the Sofitel.
A short walk from Jordan station, but I must admit to some confusion locating the entrance to the Hotel despite there being a sign outside :-/
I walked down a small staircase from the street to find what looked like a standard food hall and nothing looking like a hotel entrance and no further directing signage. I simply asked someone nearby and was directed down a hallway to the side leading to some elevators which take you to the lobby area. Later I discovered there is a more 'traditional' hotel entrance on the side street, although no obvious signs to lead the first timer in that direction.
I took the bus to and from the airport and the stops are very close to the hotel. It is also a pleasant walk away from the Ferry terminals.
I will most certainly stay here again when next in HK I felt I had good value for my money, everything was clean, the rooms quiet.
Choosing the Club Room was well worth it.
