“Great hotel, and great location”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

Always go back to this hotel whenever I go to HK. The location is just unbeatable. It is basically a hotel located in a shopping mall that sits right above the subway station. There is a lot of places to eat, shop and see aound the hotel. If you do not mind the noise/hustle and bustle of Mongkok, this hotel will make your stay in HK a great one!

Convenient location and staff are very helpful. We got good recommendations for restaurants from the staff. Lots of good dining nearby. Nice big thick towels:) we really enjoyed our stay at the Langham Place. Highly recommended!!!

Stayed at the Langham Place for 5 nights. My room on the 22nd floor was perfectly-sized and well appointed and ensured a comfortable stay. I did not use any of the restaurants, preferring to visit external places to get more of an authentic experience. The in-room Wi-Fi allowed me to work effectively so no need to visit the business facilities.

The hotel is well positioned for tourists. The Mong Kok area has an excellent mix of markets, shopping malls (including the adjoining Langham Mall) and restaurants. There is quick, easy and very cheap access to HK Island (or the Star Ferry) on the MTR so this is definitely a good alternative to the hotels in Central.

The service of all the staff was excellent - very and willing to address any questions you may have.

As hotels go, this is a nice modern hotel with great staff. What sets it a part is the location in Mong Kok. Right next door across the skywalk is Langham Place. A uniquely architected mall with a huge atrium and modern funky shops catering to the younger set. There is a food court on the main atrium level where I had some of the best wonton noodles with a side of choi sum for HK$50. The hotel is located right above the Mong Kok MTR stations so getting around HK is a snap. Mong Kok itself is a very interesting area. It's a part of HK that has hardly changed in 40 years I've known it. For the adventurous, there are plenty of HK style mom & pop restaurants that offer many HK comfort foods (fish balls, noodles, dim sum) but you'll probably have to speak canto or point at what you want if all else fails. Be sure to check out the street market right across from the hotel (facing west), open day and night.

Room Tip: West facing rooms have a nicer view (I've stayed in both E and W) and the higher the floor the b...

This was our second stay and just as memorable. As others have said, this hotel is in the middle of Mongkok with plenty to see, eat and areas to shop. If you are visiting and want to see and do what locals do, then this is the best place to stay. Situated only a block from Nathan Rd, it is about an hours walk or only 10min metro ride (metro station is situated right across the street) to the Tsim Tsa Shui harbour and the main high end tourist shopping areas. While there are plenty of newer hotels, the level of service and maintenance of the Langham is still top notch. The concierge on the club floor was extremely helpful with questions and gave us the use of another hotel room while we waited for ours to become available since we arrived a few hours before check-in time. Rooms were clean and comfortable with full range of bathroom toiletries. The vital and essentiall rooms have sufficient space for couples whereas I would definitely recommend a suite for 3 or more or if you simply need more room for your shopping goods! Breakfast was good with many varieties in the club room and their main floor restaurant. We especially appreciated having drinks (coffee, water, juice etc) available 24hrs with club access. All in all, a great experience and going back again in a couple months.

We spent a long weekend in Langham Place Hotel and I would not consider staying anywhere else again in Hong Kong. Location excellent. Bedrooms perfect in every way. Breakfast had everything to choose from. The staff were kind and very helpful.

Om the 41st floor is all the fitness facilities. Gym etc. and the swimming pool with sauna facilities with views of almost 300 degrees out side the building. At night totally breath taking.

Totally recommend this hotel.

I have to disagree with those that rave about this place. Having just visited the Langham in Chicago, I find this place art down in many ways. The main gripe is the building and location. NOTE: this is MONGKOK. For business and tourist travellers alike, you are far from HK and not even in Tsim Sha Tsui overlooking HK. While there is a local authenticity to the place, it is simply not a 5 star setting or building. For example, there is a busy bus terminal right next to the hotel entrance (see photo). The rooms are perfectly decent but not up to the high standards of their other properties. All the more puzzling as this is a Chinese chain so HK ought to be a flagship site.

No way does this compare to the Island Shangri-La, Mandarin or even the Conrad or JW Marriott. Moreover you are nowhere near the HK Express train stations so it is a bit tedious to get to on arrival and departure.
