Return visit to the Park which is very convenient for my meetings in Hong Kong. Rooms are relatively small and somewhat tired but offer everything you need. Housekeeping staff are lovely. Front office staff are eager to help but on occasion language is a barrier. The lobby area is chaotic - constantly filled with luggage and arriving/departing guests so it is definitely not a place to sit and people watch. Breakfast is very good - if it is not included in your rate buy a coupon at the desk when you arrive for a better price. Overall the hotel is good value for money in an expensive city - it is not luxurious but offers comfortable and clean accomodation with pleasant staff. I expect I will stay there again.

Room Tip: much better internet connectivity than on my previous visit. If you require wireless ask on check in...

We had two rooms at the park Hong Kong for our family of five we were there five nights. We were initially disappointed when after our very long journey from United States The room for three was not quite ready and it was 330 in the afternoon. They did get it ready rather quickly after we arrived. The first night I asked for a couple of extra pillows and they arrived almost as soon as I hung up the phone ! The rooms were clean and included complementary bottles of water each day. The only in room coffee was instant with an electric kettle to boil the water no cream though or creamer so each morning my husband would go to either to McDonald's which was close by or deli France to get coffee, I did get cappuccino right across the street at Charlie Brown But it wasn't so great. Wi-Fi was HK$30 per hour or $80 per day and works pretty good. The location is very convenient you can walk to the harbor you can walk to many different places to eat or shop or to the subway. We ate breakfast each morning at deli France which was delicious all the food there was good the croissants the eggs and the coffee and very reasonable. If you go out the back entrance of the hotel directly across the street is a juice lady with all kinds of fresh squeezed juices very reasonable. We had a slight misunderstanding on the Internet charges and on the last day the check out employee very nicely checked with his manager and made an adjustment on the bill .

hotel location is very good, you get eateries and mtr very nearby. room was spacious and hotel shower is in good condition as well. we forgot to took our wallet frm the hotel room and after we are back to our home country, we called the hotel to check if there is any missing item in the room and to our surprise it was found in the room, immediately the hotel staff arranged to couriered the wallet to us and took only 2 days to receive the item. we were very pleased with the service especially the chambermaid who is cleaning our room 1503 , the duty manager responding to the call on sat night (16nov 2013) and the staff (ming) who answered my call was very patient as well. Its worth to stay at this hotel overall.

It was a first family trip with a 4 yo & a toddler. Spacious & clean rooms, good location as the MTR is just 5 min walk away. Satisfied with the toilet cleanliness. However, we were given a queen-sized bed, I find it too squeezy for two adults & a child and the bed wasn't comfy, me & hubby have backache after sleeping on it. Staff at the concierge were friendly, approachable and love kids. Checking in & out didn't take long. No security at the back entrance, anyone can just enter and take a lift up to the rooms. Overall experience is 7/10.

We certainly make the best arrangement for our guests if we know their preference in advance or during the stay under available situation. As a matter of fact, we consider guest security as our priority. Overall a very good hotel. I initially thought the room rate was a bit high but after seeing a couple of other near-by hotels I guess it was about right for that part of town. It is on one of the Shuttle Bus routes (K4) for the train service to and from HKG.
The reception service was very good, I got there very early, but they (it was Jerry on the front desk) were happy to register me and put my bags in the store room while I went exploring the local area.
The room was ready when I was told it would be and it was clean, bright and airy.
In the end I was a little sad to leave.

As noted on my other reviews, I'm a veteran Asia traveler and have a wide range of hotel experiences to compare this hotel to; so, for what it's worth, when it comes to the Park Hotel, manage your expectations and this can be an enjoyable place to stay. Upsides and downsides are as follows;

Upsides:

1) location - absolutely smack in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui - a wonderful neighborhood that really gives you a full on taste of what Hong Kong's about. Great restaurants, bars and shops right outside the front and back doors. Additionally, the Airport Express Shuttle stop is right across the street (Cameron Road side) and, as others have noted, a 3-5 minute walk from both the TST MTR station and Nathan Road.

2) "decent" but not great value for money - about average for hotels in Hong Kong but the rooms are fairly small (per normal for these sorts of hotels).

3) amazing diversity of guests - this hotel hosts the United Nations every day; if you want to rub elbows with the world, this is a great place to do it.

4) bell staff are cordial and quite helpful as a rule

Downsides:

1) rooms are not spacious - a bit bigger than many other Hong Kong hotels, but not quite what you might expect for the rates they charge. If you're at all claustrophobic, you'll feel a bit squeezed - not as bad as other places, but enough that you'll want spend your time out of the room.

2) this is a well-used tourist hotel - groups checking in and out constantly - and that makes for delays in getting a room and/or winding your way through the chaos in the lobby.

3) the breakfast buffet is marginal - a good selection, but not great quality. Not worth the $160 HKD charged for it in my estimation.

4) Given the emphasis on separating as many mainland Chinese from their wallets as humanly possible in Hong Kong these days and the concurrent high turnover of tourists in and out, the staff can leave you feeling "processed" as opposed to actually served. They're not rude, per se, but you get the feeling that there's nothing really special about your being a guest in the hotel either. Here's your room, have a nice stay, don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out ...

5) adequately clean and functional - nothing special but nothing bad either.

6) inside rooms - generally the even numbered ones - have a fairly unattractive view of the back of the adjacent apartment blocks; unless you're Lady Godiva, you'll need to keep your drapes pulled.

Bottom line: if you're passing through and need a bed but don't need a ton of space or attention and want to immerse yourself in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, this is a perfectly good place to be. Don't expect to be pampered or even overly attended to and plan on eating out (not bad in any case).

Hi, We recently stayed at the Park Hotel in Hong Kong, and were pleasantly surprised how great it was after reading so many negative reviews. Everything about the hotel was 5 star to us. (a little bit cool in the lobby and restuarant, but a small problem). As for the problem with the side door being closed at night and it not being a very nice area, we saw no problem with it. The other good feature was LULU'S across the road from the front of the hotel, great cold beer and happy hours prices for most of the day, the staff were really great and the food was good too.
So have a happy stay. well doen Park Hotel, hope we get back there one day.
