“Pleasant surprise”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

We were just looking for a reasonably priced two night stopover to break our journey home and selected Prudential Hotel from the internet. The room was quite compact but well furnished. Everything was spotlessly clean. All pros except for the dining options which I think are a little overpriced, particularly the dinner buffet.
Location is perfect for shoppers - from brand names stores to markets in easy walking distance.
We will certainly stay there on our next visit, but probably eat at the many choice restaurants nearby.

We caught the local train in to Nathan Road, hopped off in Jordan Station, went up three or four elevators and were in the hotels lobby. Superb! We had booked for four nights and were given a complimentary upgrade and finished up on the 11th floor. The room was wonderful, great sleeps, and the staff superb. Sitting on a station allowed us to travel wherever we wished in no time at all. Very impressive public transport system.
A little on the expensive side, but after 48 weeks of tents and mediocre hotels, our last four hotels are the cream on the cake! Two more to go!

Location is really convenient - right outside the Jordan Exit! Close enough to TST (a 5 minute stroll over) and to all the yummy foods in Yau Ma Tei, Jordan, etc. But apart from that, gosh, everything else from horrid. Don't be deceived by the decent looking lobby/check-in area. The rooms are like the American motels, somewhat worse really. Old, shabby. Size wise it is small but hey, this is Hong Kong so I don't care about that. Breakfast was also quite horrid. Apart from freshly cooked eggs, the rest of the dishes were below mediocre. During my stay, there was a day when they attempted some Japanese style breakfast and the rice was rock hard and the dishes tasted like they were from the night before. The final straw was the concierge who sent me in the totally wrong direction for my bus to the Shenzhen airport causing me to almost miss my flight because I ended up FAR from where the actual buses to the SZ airport was. For the price, I would choose Eaton Hotel (just a stone's throw away) anytime!

One last point which is not really an issue with the hotel itself BUT, do take note that this seems to be one of the more popular hotels with the Mainland Chinese who loved shouting across the corridors early in the morning to call out to their friends, banging on doors, etc. Many of them treated the entire floor like their home so they left their doors open, called out to each other, etc. so I felt like I was leaving in a village during my week-long stay there. What's worse is that they don't have the decency to let people out of the elevators before shoving themselves in.

This is an outstanding location, close to the night market, shopping and on top of the MTR Jordan Station. Rooms are decent sized for Hong Kong, very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Not a five star hotel, but definately above tourist grade with good service. A very solid value. Great value choice for a base while visiting or on business.

Room Tip: The higher the better. Street noise is not an issue a few floors up.

The room was small, but it had all the standard amenities. We were greeted by friendly staffs once we got out of the taxi. The entrance of the hotel is on the side street. The location is great, all type of restaurants are within walking distant. I will stay here again if I travel to HK.

Location of hotel is good as Jordon MTR station is just below the hotel.
Room size is reasonable with enough space to move around.
There is plenty of food place around the hotel and Temple street (night market) is walking distance away.

Only problem I have is the bed.
I got room that is suppose to have king size bed. After sleeping for 3 nights, I realized the bed is actually made up of 2 single bed put together with a thin mattress on top. No wonder I start to have backache after 2 nights. This wasn't what I expect from such reputation hotel.

Room Tip: Get double bed

Arrived at Prudential Hotel on a Saturday morning, cost us $50 SGD from Airport > Hotel!!! Check-in wait time was atrociously unacceptable, lobby was tiny and stuffy. Thankfully staff were friendly.

Putting aside the bad first impression, the hotel is situated directly above a shopping arcade, and beneath it is the Jordon MTR. Jordon is between Mong Kok & Tsim Tsia Tsui, major shopping districts! Extremely convenient in terms of commuting!

Right outside the hotel is a Western Union money changer, a 7-Eleven store (tiny), and a few eateries!

The room was spacious, clean, except for the lamps above the bed. They were incredibly dusty and my brother had a sneezing fit. There is a comfortable lounge sofa in the room which can accommodate an extra guest, and a bar desk that has 2 plugs for your electronic devices!

Overall, good stay at this hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floor gets you away from the street noise!
