“Great location”
Reviewed 26 June 2014 via mobile

The hotel is very well located and offers a basic and small room for an excellent price for Hong Kong.

Location: 2 mins from Nathan road which is the centre of most tourist things. 5 mins from the star ferry port to get you to Hong Kong island. Lots of shops and places to eat within yards of the hotel.

Room: tiny (same at most hotels in kowloon). But clean, tidy and with all amenities. It's a little old and a few things like lights didn't work but that's not that much of a problem if your not in the room much.

Overall, if you can get this for under $140 a night then get it. It's all about the location. Don't stay here on business as it wouldn't be great for that. If you just want a bed and a decent location then go for this hotel. Not the best in the world but given costs of hotels in Hong Kong it's a good offering.

We stayed at the Ramada Hotel Kowloon on our way home from Norway for 2 nights and it was by far the worst hotel we stayed in. The room was tiny - only about the size of the cabin we had on our Hurtigruten cruise. It was the only hotel we stayed at that only provided a small double bed - all the other hotels had at least Queen size beds. Nothing much worked in the room including the airconditioning , the hairdryer 2 bedside lights and one of the powerpoints (although this was fixed during our stay). The breakfast was terrible lukewarm and not a great selection - I had pancakes one morning and they were rubbery. After I had booked our trip I regretted not having an extra night in Hong Kong but after coming to the Ramada I was glad we only had 2 nights. We couldn't sleep because the room was so hot and stuffy and the bed was rock hard. The saving grace for this hotel is the staff who were very helpful and cheerful, especially the cleaning lady on the 10th floor who made sure our powerpoint was fixed. The hotel is in a good location in Kowloon and within easy walking distance to the MRT.

Traveled to Hong Kong for business trip and if there is any decent hotel that you can rely on...I can vouch on Ramada. They have all the amenities for a pleasant stay. Free Wifi, great location to access all public transport, helpful staff, decent room size! Hotel is located 5 minutes away from the harbour giving you the view that you'll never forget! MTR (Tube) is a minutes walk, and there are several bus routes below the hotel which take you all around Hong Kong! Rooms are of small size but that is what HK offers.
Location of the hotel is perfect within TST and has all the good restaurants and shopping places. Front office Staff spoke english which is a big relief, however they seem to do their work without paying any heed to your requirements. Had to make them listen to you in a rude way to get the work done. WiFi is good but not great.
Overall a decent budget hotel at a perfect location for anyone travelling HK.

Rooms are of decent size. They are old but they are maintained well enough! I stayed on the 16th floor, which gave me a view of Hong Kong Central Skyline. They have a mini bar, free wifi (good speed), comfortable beds (extra pillows if required). The staff helped me find nice restaurants in TST and also suggested cuisines to try whilst in HK. They spoke English (big relief) and were helpful in guiding me around the public transport as well!!

On the whole, a decent budget hotel for anyone travelling to HK.

Pro - location in Tsim Sha Tsui with 5 mins to MTR. Price is quite reasonable.

Con - very old hotel, with a moldy curtain, dirty old carpet, poor aircon function. Staffs was very rude. Very noisy by the time that we stay especially in the early morning since most of the customer are Chinese, so they were yelling and shouting for all 4 days that we stayed.

Travelled in a group of 4, occupied 2 room for straight 4 nights. location is great, surrounded by many eateries, shops, convenient stores, and malls. Bus stop is just right in front of the hotel entrance, the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station is also within few minutes walk. Perfect location to explore Tsim Sha Tsui and other parts of HK.
There were thunderstorm during our stay for days. One evening rain water sipped in through the window due to heavy rain. We called the front desk and within minutes a housekeeper came knocking to check and brought a long a cloth to seal the window frame to prevent further more water sipping through. The hotel manager on duty came seconds later to check and we were moved to another room immediately. Well done!
The bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer but we wanted a more powerful one so we requested and within minutes it was delivered to our room.
Wifi connection in the room is free and works really well.
Ground floor staffs and receptionists speak good English. They have been very helpful in providing us info. The hotel even allowed us to print our boarding pass for free and arrange a taxi to send us to the airport at our preferred time.
Overall, the room may be small and old but after all it is Hong Kong where land is scarce and very expensive. The staffs truly made us feel welcome and they are the best part of the hotel. We look forward to returning to the hotel again should we visit Hong Kong again.

Note: I strongly recommend anyone to try the famous roast goose just next to the hotel. We dined in the same restaurant twice.
