“Bad experience”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

We stayed for three nights from 5th july and the experience from check in to check out was terrible in Ramada Kawloon.
The Asst reception manager, she was rude and staff are not friendly other than bell desk
The rooms and fittings are very old and tierd, smells very musty.
The food at the breakfast buffet was disaster and hardly any service.
Aircondition was very bad too....all in all a disaster

Only good thing is location ,but never again to Ramada Kowloon.

Room Tip: all rooms are bad and need renovation

We stayed for three nights in June. The staff were friendly and professional, and that's the best thing you could say about this hotel. The rooms and fittings are very old and the carpet smells very musty. The food on the breakfast buffet was unappetising. Even the tea and coffee were very 'stewed'. Next time I'd pay a bit more and stay somewhere else.

The hotel is very well located and offers a basic and small room for an excellent price for Hong Kong.

Location: 2 mins from Nathan road which is the centre of most tourist things. 5 mins from the star ferry port to get you to Hong Kong island. Lots of shops and places to eat within yards of the hotel.

Room: tiny (same at most hotels in kowloon). But clean, tidy and with all amenities. It's a little old and a few things like lights didn't work but that's not that much of a problem if your not in the room much.

Overall, if you can get this for under $140 a night then get it. It's all about the location. Don't stay here on business as it wouldn't be great for that. If you just want a bed and a decent location then go for this hotel. Not the best in the world but given costs of hotels in Hong Kong it's a good offering.

We stayed at the Ramada Hotel Kowloon on our way home from Norway for 2 nights and it was by far the worst hotel we stayed in. The room was tiny - only about the size of the cabin we had on our Hurtigruten cruise. It was the only hotel we stayed at that only provided a small double bed - all the other hotels had at least Queen size beds. Nothing much worked in the room including the airconditioning , the hairdryer 2 bedside lights and one of the powerpoints (although this was fixed during our stay). The breakfast was terrible lukewarm and not a great selection - I had pancakes one morning and they were rubbery. After I had booked our trip I regretted not having an extra night in Hong Kong but after coming to the Ramada I was glad we only had 2 nights. We couldn't sleep because the room was so hot and stuffy and the bed was rock hard. The saving grace for this hotel is the staff who were very helpful and cheerful, especially the cleaning lady on the 10th floor who made sure our powerpoint was fixed. The hotel is in a good location in Kowloon and within easy walking distance to the MRT.

Traveled to Hong Kong for business trip and if there is any decent hotel that you can rely on...I can vouch on Ramada. They have all the amenities for a pleasant stay. Free Wifi, great location to access all public transport, helpful staff, decent room size! Hotel is located 5 minutes away from the harbour giving you the view that you'll never forget! MTR (Tube) is a minutes walk, and there are several bus routes below the hotel which take you all around Hong Kong! Rooms are of small size but that is what HK offers.
Location of the hotel is perfect within TST and has all the good restaurants and shopping places. Front office Staff spoke english which is a big relief, however they seem to do their work without paying any heed to your requirements. Had to make them listen to you in a rude way to get the work done. WiFi is good but not great.
Overall a decent budget hotel at a perfect location for anyone travelling HK.
