We spent two nights at the Royal Garden. In the midst of bustling Kowloon, its soaring garden atrium and friendly service made it a haven for us in the midst of the traffic and people. We had Club privileges on the 12th floor that gave us cooked to order breakfast plus buffet; tea in the afternoon (with enough food to serve as a dinner) plus free internet. The room was recently remodeled and was very comfortable. Location was within walking distance to Nathan Road, the promenade along the water, and the Star Ferry and the subway. We ate one evening in one of its Chinese restaurants and were very pleased with the food. Nearby in an office/mall building is Bowen Company Tailors (63 Mody Road, 2nd floor) where I had a blue blazer custom made. We went in on Wednesday AM and it was ready on Friday AM -- great deal and beautifully made!

Room Tip: Some floor hallways are being redone -- check.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location. My wife I spent six nights their in March
and as others had recommended we decided to upgrade to a Club room. The facilities were
excellent and nothing was to much trouble for the staff. A harbour view room does come at
an additional cost but is worth it if you want to make your stay complete- we were on the eleventh floor.

Room Tip: Take the option of a club room

We stayed here for 5 nights in February 2012. The hotel is well located, being a 5 minute walk to the MTR and about 10 minutes to Nathan Road. The rooms are built around a large atrium, looking down on the buffet restaurant. We upgraded to a sea view room with access to the Club Lounge. Rooms were very comfortable and the shower is amazing!!

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of february and were very impressed with the quality of the rooms, especially the shower. The lifts and decor throughout all common areas added to the unique feel of the hotel. Front of house staff were all friendly and efficient and we would stay here again if we returned to Hong Kong. It is centrally located with an MRT station round the corner and a 2 minute walk to the promenade and Avenue of Stars.

They are almost finished with all renovations. Still one more elevator bay to go. New rooms are beautiful, Plenty of light and nice and clean. Club floor offers many nice extras, like breakfast brought to your room (on a silvertray no less), free internet, wired or wireless, snacks and drinks in the afternoon. Nice hotel, good location inTST east.

Room Tip: Upgrade to club room if you can.

Had 3 days stay at this Hotel early February. We arrived around 10.30 am which was too early to book in. The taxi stopped outside and the porters arrived took our cases and said when the room was ready, they would deliver them. We went for a walk round and got back to the Hotel around 3pm, the room was ready and in minutes the luggage arrived.
We were pleasantly surprised with the room, very comfortable, few sideways onto to the Harbour. The room was on the 6th floor, very clean, comfortable, free water and fruit. The bed was huge and very clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was amazing, so much food to choose from. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive and kept our cups filled with coffee and tea. We did not eat any other meals in the restaurant.
When we had to book out, the time give was 12 noon, our flight was not to late evening, we enquired about extending room but was expensive and in the end they informed us that we could use the spa facilities to shower and change.
The spa facilities were extremely clean, the attendant coming by often to clean up. The sauna was just the right temperature. Sadly did not use the pool or gym, but if had more time would have done so.
The hotel is well situated from the centre of HK and about 10 mins walk to the cruise terminal.
In all a good clean hotel which would suit all persons. Staff were helpful and polite especially the boys on the concierge desk.

Room Tip: Go for a Club Room which gives you access to free afternoon tea, and tea time cocktails and canapes...
