We stayed here for one week with our 9 month old son on the 11th floor. We have stayed here in the past as it is close to my relatives. We have been very happy with it in the past however this was a new experience for us travelling with a baby. A cot bed was provided free of charge. It was a bit smaller than a standard UK cot and one of the screws was loose. We managed with a bit of improvisation though i am sure it would have been fixed if we had bothered to ask. The room was clean though a bit small with the cot bed inside. We know there are bigger rooms so ask if you have a baby with you. There is step free access throughout, ask at the front desk.
The staff members are very polite and breakfast is excellent. The staff members at the 2+2 café were particularly helpful and friendly with our baby. The Royal Park hotel Chinese restaurant serves excellent food and you get 25% off as a hotel guest. A high chair can be provided.
The swimming pool is partly indoors and partly outdoors and kept at 28 degs C. The changing rooms were very clean though there was no baby changing area.
The hotel is attached to a couple of shopping malls with shops that you'd typically find at Heathrow airport. There are a couple of food shops and a 7/11 for water and snacks. The only problem with the malls is the sheer volume of people so it can be like wading through treacle. The nearest MTR is Shatin MTR, about 10 mins walk through the mall. This can get you to the front in about 30 mins.
From the airport get the A41 bus. This drops you off at the new town plaza bus station. There is a lift up to level 3 of the shopping mall; follow directions to the hotel. The bus back to the airport leaves outside the hotel on level 1. It is about a minute's walk away to the left of the hotel. Single journey is 22 HKD, takes about 45 minutes if no traffic. The bus leaves every 20 minutes.
We would probably stay here again though we might try to stay on Hong Kong island next time as there are more tourist attractions there.
