We recently stayed here for 3 nights on our first trip to HK and could not have loved it more. As has been said a million times already, the location can not be beat. You are right next to two MTR lines and the Airport Express bus drops you off across the street. We snagged a Harbourview room and the view was one of the best we've seen in this world. We were even greeted by the laser light show upon arrival! The concierge service was hit or miss. Some were short/rude and some were very helpful. We had them make a few dinner reservations for us and they were very thorough and even printed us info sheets on each restaurant with maps. We had read on here that the facility seemed kind of outdated so we were pleasantly surprised by a very modern lobby. The room may have been slightly sterile but with the view and the nice fruit basket plus great water pressure and plenty of hot water, we were very pleased. ONLY downside: you have to pay (kind of expensive) for wifi AND to use the gym. I know it's a YMCA but guests should be able to use the fitness room for free! All in all if you can get in here, definitely do. Also, their website was showing no availability so I emailed and they responded right away with the available harbourview room.

Room tip: Definitely go for the harbourview if it's available!

I spent a week in HK, departed for a week in Vietnam and was booked to stay one night at the Salisbury (27/10/12), travelling back from Vietnam and then onto Australia. I had stored luggage at the Salisbury, to be collected upon my return.

Due to flight cancellations in Vietnam I was unable to stay at the hotel and was only brieflly in HK before my flight to Australia departed. On extremely short notice the staff assisted with my disrupted travel plans, accomodation disruptions and the difficulty of my stored luggage. They managed everything with aplomb and, quite frankly, went above and beyond.

I am in the rather odd position of providing a 5 out of 5 review for a hotel in which I have not stayed. And they deserve it!

Can't wait to actually stay there my next trip to HK.

I am so happy we stayed here for our stay in Hong Kong and wouldn't consider anywhere else in the future. The location is superb! We were upgraded to a harbour view room (next time I'll pay for it!) and were just blown away by the stunning view and central location. Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsim Sha Tsui East MTR is right next to the hotel so you have direct access to 2 MTR lines. The star ferry is only minutes to walk to and all other shopping, restaurants and Kowloon Park all within walking distance.

The room itself was a good size and clean. Although a little tired, I was still impressed with standard considering the price and space. I loved having a coin operated laundry within the hotel - this is a must when travelling as a family of 5. We didn't have any issues getting a machine or dryer when needed. There was a playground for the kids as well. We didn't get time to check out the other facilities in the hotel but there was more!

There is direct airport transfer right to the door of the hotel from the airport. We booked a Harbour view suite and the room was spacious with a great view of Victoria Harbour. We could simply enjoy the Harbour light show at night in comfort. The MTR was just a stone throw away and there was no problem getting anywhere. We travelled with young children and the sofa bed as well as the huge king size bed was comfortable for all. We totally enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed here mid-September for 3 nights and we had a great time. We had a side harbour view room which was perfect and meant you could see the light show in the evening.
The room was really spacious and had everything we needed. We were close to everything, the ferry, the metro, shops, restaurants. We loved Hong Kong and would definitely stay here again if we came back.
