My 13yo and I did this walk on a humid, but sunny Hong Kong Day and thoroughly enjoyed it. We began at Shek O Road, and while there are quite a few stairs at the beginning, it gave us a good workout without being too strenuous. The spectacular views across Shek O and Tai Tam Bay make it well worth the effort. Some of the terrain is a little rough so good walking shoes or sport sandals are a must and definitely pack a sizable bottle of water. The walk took us about 2.5hrs as we took it fairly easy and finished up with a late lunch at the beachside cafe at Big Wave Bay. Minibuses from the carpark back to Shek-O and Shau Kei Wan MTR are very regular. This hike is a must for any HK visitor.
