Only stayed for one night, but was very impressed.Didn't expect the ritz as only cost $230HK (not expensive at all). -And it is a hostel for backpackers, so I was under no illusions.
Stayed in 9 bed dorm, I might have been lucky as only 3 other beds were occupied and so it was fairly quiet (on 9th floor). (Only noise being street traffic). Staff were friendly and helpful and beds were comfy and sizeable and there is a great vibe about the place. Hong Kong is incredible and If I'm ever fortunate enough to visit again i will definitely stay here...Location and atmosphere superb.

Beautiful hostel. I stayed here for 6 nights and I enjoyed every bit of it. Hong Kong is a very nice place. This hostel is 2 mins walk from the subway station (MTR). Bus for stanley is right outside the door of the hostel. City Bus stop is less than 2 mins walk. While coming from airport, airport bus stops very close to the hostel (Wan Chai Fire Station Bus Stop). Entire building is the hostel, pretty secure. And most important - Clean.

Best thing about this hostel is that you get to meet a lot of like minded people of all age groups. Most of the them are solo travellers. People even come in groups. There are a lot of places to socialize and talk to new people. Excellent vibrant atmosphere.

Best part about the hostel is the price. You get more than what you pay. Remember you are paying very less as compared to hotel/hostel rates in Hong Kong. Bathrooms are clean. Few FAQ's that I had before travelling, for new travellers:

- Living with 21 other people in the room ?
Answer - This is not a concern, all are travellers from various places in the world. All respect other's privacy. Rooms are quiet and people maintain silence to respect other travellers. You can keep your valuables including few clothes and shoes in the cabinet. There is enough space inside the room to keep you luggage on the floor and other corners of the room.

- Security
Answer - Security is pretty good as there is automtic key card access to each room. Same key works for ur locker and the room. In 21 bed mixed dormitory there were lot of girls and all of them enjoyed the stay. What I am trying to say is that if you dont get female only dorm, you can easily manage in mixed dorm. I would suggest locking your valuables in your personal locker. and rest of the luggage can be left outside. No one would touch it, but if you are looking for additional security you can lock it and keep it on your bed when you go outside to explore hong kong.

- Bed
You private space is pretty big in size and you can charge your phone etc along with your camera battery. The sockets (electricity plug points) can fit all types, which means you need to carry the burden of a travel adapter. Dont expect a spring bed, bed that we get is foam and not coir, its pretty comfortable. bed Size is approximately 6'3" X 3' (roughly). Beds are made up of iron and sturdy enough that they dont move.

- Bathroom Queue could be an issue ?
Answer - I dont think so, because all the travellers come and go at different times. Maximum anyone uses a washroom is 10 mins. This is not a concern. Moreover bathrooms are very clean. they even have public washrooms on floor 2 and 4.

In my opinion, bathroom is the best part of the hostel, bathrooms are very clean and there is a shower cabinet with hot and cold water. Because of shower cabinets. other parts of the bathroom does not get wet. Bathroom size is big enough so that you can change clothes in the bathroom itself. Again i comparing this with other hostels in hong kong only.

In short, If you are on a budget I would suggest you stay in this hostel. Its fabulous. If socializing, meeting new people, living in the centre of city with easy connectivity to everything is your priority.. Go for yesinn.

****Dont Miss to visit the food court on 11th floor of Hysan place just next building (meal approx $50 HK). Also, You will also witnesss some huge escalators. Its an experience in itself. This place is 3 mins walk from the hostel.

Simply a great setup, three tier bunks in the big rooms (21) international charging plugs in bunk for your electronics, reading lights and privacy curtains. Always clean and the bathrooms modern and functional. (See pics) Cool key card entry to room and locker.
Large outdoor rooftop to meet fellow travelers during the day but especially at night as people often pre drink before heading to LKF, ( which is an amazing party place)

Staff are amazing. Big thanks to Kris and Iris for letting us stay without a booking and doing some magic on the computer to accommodate us although the hostel was booked out. All the staff are friendly, funny, and helpful. The banter was top notch. Special mentions to Iris for being very witty and Jamie for being so damn pretty. Thanks again from US/Aussie family, we will be back. Get ready.

I stayed in Hong Kong for three days and i booked Yesinn hostel before i started my trip. I found the receptionists are really helpful as i know nothing about the place and food nearby. They indeed give me a good recommendation for me to try the local food about what they said to me "Hong Kong noodle". Although i don't know what it actual means for, but it is really declious for me to eat !!!!!! GREAT!!!!!

Room Tip: ask for the help from reception

Yesinn Hostel was adequate and provided all the necessary amenities for backpackers. The rooms are as pictured, clean, and the beds are actually comfortable. Lockers are provided free of charge so you don't have to worry about your belongings while you're out exploring Hong Kong. Only downside was the hot water. If you're up too early, you can forgot about taking a hot shower!

The location in Causeway Bay is very convenient and well connected to the rest of the city. The metro station is a mere 3 minute walk and the bus to Stanley Market, if interested, is located right outside the hostel. It's also very easy to get to Yesinn from the airport.

The front desk is open 24 hours, all staff is pretty fluent in English, there are several terraces available for lounging, and basic food/drinks are available, some for purchase.

Overall my experience at Yesinn was good and I would recommended to anyone looking for budget accommodation.

We had 8 people booked into a 9 person dorm. The rooms are quite large, however 9 people sharing 1 bathroom leaves for a very long wait. There was an in room electronic safe (accessible only by 1 room key) big enough for a backpack, not much more.
The beds are all mostly okay, clean bedding, individual light, small curtain covering half length of bed, power points. However, the positioning of the beds within the room (maybe it was just our room ???) but the middle top bunk bed was literally directly underneath the air con unit, which actually ate into the space of the persons bed area (wall mounted unit, not ceiling). I couldn't possibly imagine anything worse nor poorer positioned. We had no option but to sleep with the air con off, otherwise a lovely air con cold would have got the poor person sleeping there. A little bit thoughtless as the other side of the room had a bare walk and no beds....
The location is great though, proximity to the mtr was easy as could be.

It's close to MTR. Rooms were clean. The bed was too tiny. I think you won't feel comfortable if you are tall. I like the color of bed linen, it made the room colorful. Too tiny living room but it's okay. The great thing is its location. I think it's good value for money.
