“Fun fun fun”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

It was crowded, loaded with tourist stuff, and what you would expect for a night market. Very touristy, but "on the list" to see in HK.

“Nice Walk Along an Old Street”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

It an old street with lots of makeshift stalls selling clothes, toys, local delights etc. It also have very nice rows of shop house that sells really nice mini claypot rice, it is a must try.

“Good food - cheap too!”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

The first evening we went to the night market in Temple St, we followed the sign down from Nathan St. There didn't seem to be a lot happening, but we wandered past the stalls, which all seemed to be either fortune tellers or selling sex toys. On our way out we noticed that the market also continued on the other side of the road, and this was where the market actually was. There were multiple food stalls and a small variety of other general items. We opted for the food stall with big fans as it was such a hot evening - it also had a menu with English on it. We enjoyed the food so much we went back the next night, and were welcomed back.

“You need to be confident and haggle!!”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

This place is very busy, full of people and noise. If you want to shop here, you definitely need to haggle hard!. You shouldn’t need to pay full price. This also applies to Jade Market.

“good fun and good bargains”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

This market is easy to reach on the MTR and is in the same neighbourhood (couple of subway stops) as the Ladies Market and Fa Yuen Street Market so it is easy to shop until you drop! Reports were that the night market starts around 4 pm but doesn't start humming until after dark. So we actually went to the day markets in the late afternoon, had dinner (no shortage of choices) and took in the Symphony of Lights (8 pm every night) at the Avenue of Stars, then went back to the night market. It was great - lots of the goods will not be top quality but fine for souvenir hunting (e.g. "100% silk" ties for HKD 20) as long as you feel like playing the bargaining game. No language problems as most vendors will break out calculators and ask "how much you want spend?" or speak in English. The fortune tellers are good entertainment.
