“Nice and different”

If shopping is not your thing, this is nice way to spend few hours in Hong Kong. Almost 45 degrees climbing uphill with a tram / cart. Spectacular view from uphill. There are also dining, souvenirs, "madame Tussaud" mini museum, and lots of things to do. Prices are quite high. Do not bother to pay extra for climbing 5m higher in specific building. Just walk alongside with the corridor by the cliff.

“Wow! Spectacular view”
Reviewed 22 July 2014 via mobile

What a great family outing. We took the 5 min star ferry trip from Kowloon over to the island & caught the 15c bus up to the tram ride. The queue to get on was about a forty minute wait but well worth it. The tram is an old fashioned style and the journey up is very steep but the view over the city is spectacular. If possible when you board sit on the right hand side as gives the best view aspects. There was lots of pushing boarding and some people have to stand. The journey takes 5-10 mins and you feel safe as you climb the steep mountainside. The sky pass is worth the extra money as you get to go up the Wok as the locals call it for an amazing view and great photos of the city skyline. The skyline today was amazing as we had an electrical storm!

“Hot and humid day”
Reviewed 22 July 2014 via mobile

The hike from magazine gap road took 50 minutes on a hot afternoon. We had a good guide, showing us the highlights on the peak and the best restaurant. We had a late afternoon lunch at the Peak Lookout . A bit on the pricy side but worth the view. The ride down to Kennedy Road station took 10 minutes with the tram reaching gradients of 45 degrees at some places. What an experience!! Dedicated to our guide.

“Ok fine. Do it one time!”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

The long line. Lots of squeezing together and waiting. Okay, maybe I like a more relaxing take. But having a nice dinner or drinks by one of many Hong Kong restaurants that offer spectacular views AND nice seating and dining experience was much more fullfilling.

1 time.

“Nice view”

If you have never taken hillside trams, you should try it. If you have, this is just like any other except for the fact that you get pretty good view of the city on the way up. The queue is managed quite well though you can't stop the pushing from some rude tourists. It costs just a little more to get the bundled ticket of Tram, Skyview and Madame Tussauds. Worth it.
