The way to the tram is signposted from Central Metro station - suggest exit H.
It is quite an arduous walk/climb to the tram station with very steep hills and lots of steps. People with mobility or health issues may struggle. Difficult for buggies, impossible for wheelchairs I would judge. Get a taxi.
The train is a Swiss built (Von Roll) pulley system that is as smooth as the day it was installed more than 100 years ago. Some sections are so steep the force of gravity strongly pulls you back into your seat. I'm not sure how standing passengers manage.
A good experience. Avoid the queues - go before 10:00 am.
