Indigo hast just opened in April. Which also means that not everything is working perfect and staff is not yet perfectly trained. The Check-in could have been more smooth instead of looking through big binders to find the reservation. Add checkout they automatcially added 1HLD for donations which I thought weird without asking. Not that it is much money but it is just a question of attitude.

The room itself was great, I had a corner room which meant windows at two sides. The views are not great but still at good. I also had trouble finding the light switch as I entered.

The bar on the top flooor was good, they are able to mix coacktails and it had a little outdoor seating. The pool located on the rooftop is small but the view is great and part of it has a glas bottom which means people from the street can see You swimming....

Room Tip: take a corner room to the north

I made reservations on the same day of one night stay. This was only the third week they were open. Everything went very well starting with the quick and pleasant check in. The ride up the beautiful lift took me to quiet hallways and amazing views. The room decor was fresh and exciting, the room layout was unique and functional. The bed was soft but firm. The mini bar was well stocked - including wine glasses. Pool was totally amazing as well as the bar on the 29th floors with great views of the city. Breakfast buffet was overwelming- too many choices. The service was impecable... and fun to talk with.
I was concerned that they would be unorganized but everything was without flaw! Congrats Bryan Gabriel and your team on this wonderful new hotel and your successful grand opening

This two-month new residence offers an interesting turn for an HK hotel. Sure, it is expensive, but the location is perfect, the rooms beautiful and the staff sincere.

Be warned, however, that quirks abound. First there is no bell captain, so plan on lugging to and fro your bags alone. Second, in my room at least, light switches were no where to be found anywhere near the door. I was left to fumble in the dark more than a minute until a bedside switch was found.

Better hotels are available for in HK, but if your employer is paying the fare and you want to be near Wan Chai (don't we all), this is a reasonable choice.

What a fantastic place! From a pre-arrival e-mail enquiring as to arrival times and offering pick ups, to the forever smiling friendly staff, to the comfiest hotel bed I have ever slept in, to the most incredible glass bottomed swimming pool on the 29th floor, this hotel hit the spot every time. We had a great stay here last weekend and will not hesitate to book again on my next trip through Hong Kong. Brilliant!

Dear Redfox78

Wow what a great review thank you so much for that - The comments on the team are very much appreciated we spent a great deal of time in preopening on training , its fantastic that it is all working the way we planed. One of our key focuses is the team and there interaction with our guests, I hope you got to hear a few of our neighbourhood stories, that make Wan Chai a great destination.

Looking forward to welcoming you back to the neighbourhood when you are next passing through Hong Kong.
