The foyer of this hotel, although small, sets the tone for the rest of it, being clean and modern, with extremely helpful staff, so check-in was swift. The room was welcoming, clean, spacious and modern. There has been much thought put into the layout of the room, with everything included that you could possibly want. The bathroom is a cunning arrangement of three spaces, nestled at one side of the room (there is a separate shower room and toilet, separated by the basin). It's all modern, in frosted glass. There is a separate office area behind the bed, with a desk, computer points and stationery (even paperclips!). There is a well-equipped and concealed mini bar hidden in a drawer, along with the glasses. tea and coffee-making was included. Lighting is varied, so that you can change the mood. There are also multiple switches so that ou do not have to get up to turn off the lights - once you figure out where all the switches are! The room was spacious, with ample storage and a small sitting area. But the real star of the show was the bed. This was the best and most comfortable bed of our entire 4 week trip. We slept like logs.
The suspended pool is quite unique. It is quite an experience to swim in a glass-bottomed pool, 29 stories above the busy streets. The pool area is popular, so be aware that there may not be enough sun-lounges for all the users.
We were given vouchers for a free drink at the Skybar and these were duly dispensed. However, we were offered a second drink on the house, but found that there had been a misunderstanding and we had to pay for the second one (and they were not cheap, either). The temperature in the bar was was too low, and it was freezing in there. This was our only down experience with the hotel.
The location is excellent. It is close to transport and there are ample shopping and dining opportunities. There is a street market in the next side-street and a food market close by. Our early-morning checkout was smooth.
I would recommend this hotel for its location, space and modern design.
