frankly im not happy at all with this hotel. i booked it off booking.com and its the first time i had a hotel at booking.com which deducted the hotel fee for a confirmation. when i called to check, they said the hotel had a disclaimer which said they could. this caused a confusion upon check out. they charged us again, then realised they had actually deducted the fee, they voided the transaction done at check out, then realised that it was actually a reservation confirmation but not the hotel charge fee and they had to re-do the payment. confusing? even their own staff was confused! this is really a crappy process.
The counter staff are really rude. I think this is what you get for like 3 star hotel.
there are 3 lifts, i think, but they are slow and the buttons in each lift have different positions so its confusing again when you pop into the lift and you are searching up & down for the floor number. the rooms are ultra small. we had a twin room but we had to open our luggages on the bed. when my friend walked around the room, I had to sit on the bed and vice versa.
the toilet, badly designed. the ledge to prevent water from flowing out is so low, its not so effective and the air channel keeps blowing the shower curtain onto you when you shower, how can one be clean this way with a dirty shower curtain constantly sticking onto you? the space is so cramped you can hardly turn around in there. And Im average bullt non-plus-sized girl. the sink being outside the toilet is also not so handy. in general design is flawed. The whole hotel decor is like a KTV. I dont get it. It feels like :trying too hard to be classy when its not.
The WIFI is also very slow and not so effective.
i found the beds too hard and the pillows too low. didnt like this place. I did not sleep well.
location is not bad, 5min to Jordan MTR, walking distance (20min) to the pier for Star Ferry and you can walk to Nathan Road for lots of shops & eateries in 2 min. There's a supermarket, 7-11 downstairs which is convenient for snacks.
If only they had better service, better rooms and design. This would have been a great hotel but alas, it was not. I would not stay here again.
