“Now my favorite hotel in ShaTin”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

Great staff - from reception to the cleaning staff. My room was upgraded - very nice. Excellent beds. The internet is high quality - fast. This has become my favorite hotel in ShaTin now. But if you need to be in the city, get something there.

please do not stay in this hotel specially if you are not in a group. staff is very bad as they refused to put the luggage in rooms and also demanded for 4000 HKD
also it is very far from main city and no cabs available in night

After a long flight from the UK this hotel proved a welcome haven. The staff were perhaps a little anxious to please with the odd question stumping them but they tried hard to resolve. The rooms were nothing special but comfortable enough. You had to walk through the shower in our room to get to the bath! Very strange!!

By HK standard, the room was considered big, very clean room & nice bed to sleep. Not very near to the town but luckily the hotel does provide shuttle services to the train station & Kowloon area. Service was almost excellent except for the miscommunication of the timing of the shuttle service from the train station to hotel which was changed without our knowledge. We have to take the taxi to the hotel after waiting for more than 30 mins. Breakfast was just average & could be better for Marriott 's standard.

Stayed last week with family, was a wonderful experience.very tidy and cute rooms with usual Marriott splendour. Restaurant and swimming pool were great. Buffet was nice. A very quiet stay we had even though it was very near to main city market.

Just returned from my first visit to Hong Kong. Stayed at the Courtyard Marriott In Sha Tin. The hotel is only a year old and still smells new! Beautifullly designed, modern lobby and rooms with marble bathrooms, glass, wood and metal accents with recessed lighting and relaxing colors. The interior designers did an outstanding job! The customer service is equally beautiful, gracious and attentive, especially in the Executive Lounge. I recommend reserving a room that gives you access to the Executive Lounge, as the breakfast is excellent; so are the views from the 30th floor. Fitness Center is large with all the latest equipment and doesn't charge an extra fee. You also have access to the wet and dry saunas and beautiful locker room and showers. I will definitely stay here again because after a long day of shopping and sightseeing, it's a relaxing and quiet place to return. Take a taxi to Sha Tin station for about $3.00US and the subway to Hong Kong. You're there in abut 30 min. Purchase an Octopus pass to use during your stay. You can use it on the subway, busses and even in some convenience stores and fast food places. Thanks Marriott for a great experience!

Room Tip: Choose a room on an upper floor for a great view of the mountains and river.

i stayed there now for my last 2 visits to Hong Kong both for family visit and business.

i found that the hotel, rooms and services very clean and good. the facility such as gym and the restaurant is good. maybe it is still relatively new!!

most importantly the room was quiet although it sat next to a major road.

it is out of the main area of hong kong, but then in hong kong it is only ever a taxi trip or mtr trip away from anywhere.

i will be using it again..

Peter

Room Tip: ask for a high floor, and the river view....you can see the floating restaurant all lit up!!
