This hotel is in a great location, just off Nathan Road and Knutsford Terrace is just around the corner, so you're in the thick of things, but it's quiet! The hotel itself is lovely - our room was very uniquely decorated (in a good way!) but it was a little on the small side, though maybe that's how it is in Hong Kong. We particularly appreciated WIFI in our room and the little guide book to Hong Kong to help you get the most out of your stay. The service was great as well - we loved the turn down service with little home baked treats each night. The staff were dressed to impress and the service was slick. Great hotel!

Staying at the Inter or Grand Hyatt is great on a company slush fund but if you are spending your own money and want a comfortable clean room with a great staff in a great location this is your spot. The only thing missing is a real gym, pool etc. associated with more resort type of properties. This is my hotel of choice while traveling and will be returning again... and again!

I stayed at this hotel in Hong Kong twice during the past month and found it very enjoyable. Although the rooms are small (and the decoration funky), the service is excellent, and the location in Kowloon couldn't be better. I happened to check in for the first two-day visit on the afternoon of my birthday and, within one hour, had received a complimentary bottle of wine with a congratulatory note signed by Edmond Cheng, the Rooms Division Manager; Linus Yuen, the Assistant Front Office Manager; and Angela Mak, the Assistant Manager. In my opinion, such courtesies mark the difference between an ordinary hotel and one that is--at least in several respects--an exceptional one. When I returned to Hong Kong three weeks later and arrived at the Luxe Manor Hotel, numerous employees welcomed me back and stated they were happy to see me again. These are small gestures but, naturally, indicate how well-trained is the staff. Linus Yuen went out of his way to make me feel comfortable at the hotel, as did the beautiful Angela Mak--And when I finally left the hotel the second time, Miss Mak and a young man named Michael who is also on the office staff, stood outside the front entrance to wave goodbye as my taxi pulled away from the curb. What traveler wouldn't be happy to revisit such a hotel in the future? Incidentally, "Aspasia," the Italian restaurant within the hotel is wonderful, although extremely expensive. One should have dinner there at least once while in Hong Kong, but save the experience for a special occasion.

From the moment you arrive at "The Luxe Manor" until your stay is complete the professionalism & service from the staff is at the highest standard. The room decor is fantastic, bathroom & shower is of excellent size, free wifi and to top it off the hotel offers an inclusive buffet breakfast which included fresh salmon & italian cured meats.

The location is great, close to major roads, taxi's, major bus routes, underground train station, several restaurants & bars that vary in price and are open until late, two 7/11's 2 minutes away.

I have now travelled to Hong Kong 3 times and by far this hotel has offered the best in location, price & service.............anyone visiting Hong Kong for the first time please be aware of the high prices for hotels but rest assured that this hotel was worth every penny.

My hubby and I stayed at The Luxe Manor from 1 to 4 May 2009 on a holiday trip. I'd booked my stay online after much research. We are frequent travellers and usually stay in 4-5* major chain hotels but decided to try something different as I was lured by the surreal design of this boutique hotel.

I have to highlight The Luxe Manor is part of the Small Luxury Hotels (SLH). It's not mentioned in the reviews I read. Well, it's small for sure and different but it's in no way luxurious. Don't get me wrong, I totally love this hotel but it's definitely not luxurious if luxury to you conjours images of the Hyatts, Hiltons, Shangri-Las and St Regises.

The building itself is skinny and does not even have a proper entrance as it's very small. The free Airport Express bus (K4) drops us right off on the street coz no only small cars (max 3-4) can enter its tiny driveway.

But the minute we entered the lobby, we were taken away by the unique, surreal design with plush sofas, mosiac flooring with beautiful pictures and the even more unique reception counter with an arresting mosaic wall backdrop.

We paid more for the Studio Room as we wanted a bigger space. The hotel is quite high tech. You do not slot your key card at your room, rather you just tap and scan. The minute we entered our room, I just fell in love with the design! The bed, TV (that is disguised as a photo frame), chest of table (which is actually a door that opens up to the mini bar), fake fire place etc. The shower area in the bathroom is very unique too. Though toiletries are provided, they are quite run-of-the-mill and are definitely not "luxurious", just house brands in plastic containers.

Location-wise, it's pretty convenient. It's about 7 to 10 min's walk to TST MTR station and there's a 7-11 and supermart (Wellcome) few steps away. They are also restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity.

What I liked best about its locale is that Airport Express (K4) drops AND picks passengers straight from and to Kowloon station where you can do airport check-in.

Service is good too. We requested for late check out (2pm) and they immediately agreed. When we came back one afternoon and realised the room was not made up (maybe we accidentally pressed the "no room makeup" button), we called the Room Service and they immediately came to clean up the room. Best of all, every other day, they would have turndown service and provided complimentary (and nice) French pastries from their restaurant.

The hotel also has a (small) but nice bar.

The complimentary (international) buffet was average only though their Italian restaurant (Asiaspa) is supposed to house a Michelin-starred chef. We only had BF once around 10am and the queue was too long. We waited about 10-15 min before they seated us.

But overall, for the decor and experience, I love this hotel and would highly recommend this, to singles, couples and travellors who want a different experience.
