The hotel is very nice, Clean, Staff are friendly, affordable and great location.
Also offers yummy buffet Breakfast every morning.
They have complimentary shuttle bus to all main attractions.
The only downfall is its next to a cemetry other then that nothing bad to say :)
We really enjoyed our stay and loved shopping at causeway Shopping.

Happy Travels :)

Booked this hotel for an 8 night stay for two back-to-back International conventions. The hotel looked centrally located but securing transport to the Convention center was VERY hard. My two biggest complaints are the constant noise of chipping hammers from the floor by floor renovations going on every day 8-5 and the practices of the front desk staff at check-in.

I booked their "grand deluxe" room category which "includes breakfast and internet". I always travel with a trip folder which includes all my relevant documents, maps, confirmations & tickets. When I checked in to the hotel I had a 15, 4 staff person pow-wow where I had to forcefully PROVE that I had pre-paid fpr my breakfast and internet. All the while they were trying to "up-sell" me into the very room category I had already paid for. To add insult to injury after I had "convinced" them that I had pre-paid internet (which I had to do by producing the printed confirmation with printed terms of my room reservation) they actually tacked on a "service-charge to my complimentary internet". I was there for over a week and witnessed, many times, the same ritualistic hassle at the front desk as other poor travelers were subjected to the same treatment at check in.

Dear Tom,

Thank you for your comments. First of all, we are sorry to learn about the unpleasant experience you encountered upon arrival. We believe it was only an occasional miscommunications issue while our staff had tried to explain the limited-time room upgrade offer for a more spacious and valuable stay. That said, rest assured that all the front line staff will be reminded to listen to guests’ requests and preferences patiently under any circumstances, so as to avoid similar discomfort made in the future.

On the other hand, while we’ve limited the renovation work from 10am to 6pm only and arranged buffer floors to minimise the disturbance to our guests, please accept our apology for all the inconvenience caused during your stay. We do hope the newly renovated Grand Deluxe Room from the previous phase had given you a comfortable and refreshing stay this time.

Lastly, we regret to know that waiting time of transport towards the Convention Centre was lengthened due to the unforeseen heavy traffic during your stay, which we appreciate your kind understanding on this. Upon you next visit, we would also like to suggest you to try our scheduled free shuttle service for a convenient point-to-point transfer. Tom, we sincerely hope this single staying experience will not prevent you from staying with us again, and we look forward to welcoming you back very soon.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days and 3 nights and we were really satisfied with the hotel's service, staff and the amenities.
Their Family Quad Room has 2 queen beds, a great view of Causeway Bay and they even provided kid's toothbrush, slippers, bathrobes- really family-friendly! You can even rent DVD cartoon movies which the kids can definitely enjoy.

And what I enjoyed the most was the the free-to-use smartphone with 3G internet which we can use during our stay. Aside from the fact that we already have free WIFI in our room, we were always connected because of the complimentary smartphone which also acted as the Hotspot for our other devices! :)

Location was great- it was just walking distance to Times Square and they even have a shuttle service with pick up/drop off points for HK's most visited spots.

And since this was not our first time in HK, we were already expecting rude staff at their reception -very typical of HK hotel staff - but we were really impressed with Cosmopolitan's staff because they were very warm and accommodating!
Keep up the good work, guys! :)

We stayed at the hotel for two nights on a stop over. This was our first time in Hong Kong & staying at the cosmopolitan hotel.
We were very impressed with the service we received from the guest service manager (Kane Ng).
Kane surprised both myself & my fiancé with a bottle of wine delivered to our room as we celebrated our holidays on a recent trip to Vietnam. (As we recently got engaged on our holiday.)
We are very pleased with the rooms it was very clean & the location of the hotel was great all within walking distance to the malls and staff was friendly and very helpful!
I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who appreciate service & the location, quality of the hotel & staff has to offer!

we booked flight and a hotel through british airways and got a very good deal. so we had a few reservations about the hotel because it felt like we had just paid for the flight and the hotel was thrown in. not the case.

we had read the reviews before hand and decided to email and ask for a newly renovated room. the room 1902 was so much more than we expected and the complimentary water every morning was appreciated. the room had two single beds in and we felt it had enough room for us. we are not people who spend much time in our hotel rooms, sleep, wash. the room had a frosted glass window and because we had done our research we knew it we would be looking over a cemetery so was grateful for it. we had breakfast on a couple of occasions which we found to be more than adequate, even if the chicken sausages took some getting use to. plenty of choice to even satisfy the fussy eaters.
the waiters and staff in the restaurant work so hard to clear tables and replenish the food and are so helpful and polite, we though we was royalty.
all the staff from reception , which was effortless to the bell boys couldn't do enough for us and must give a special mention to housekeeping who was always polite and friendly and always engaged in conversation.
the shuttle buses was a god send but can get busy first thing in the morning but they are so punctual and so frequent you can plan your day with ease.

location, right next door to happy valley racecourse with is held on Wednesday night. wan chai metro is a ten minute walk away via subway, causeway bay where all the designer shop are, if you don't want to use the shuttle bus its a 10 minute walk away. wan chai town centre where all the bars and go go bars and some great restaurant are a ten minute walk away.
the hotel
vigor excursions are situated near the lifts and offer great trips at reasonable prices. we went on four and would recommend all.

overall our stay was perfect and the main part of that was due to the hotel and there staff.

Room Tip: ask for a room that looks over the racecourse

I stayed in hk for four days with my husband and my kids for a stop over to Singspore. We found this hotel with good location, convenient yet not to crowded at the center of causeway bay shopping area. The staff are very helpful with directions and tourist info. And we are very impressed by the genuine and warm service from the Senior Guest Services Manager Ms Agnes Yau for looking after every detailed needs during our stay, and always check back and follow up with all the concerns arise. We will definitely come back to this hotel when we visit hk again.

We booked a room at the Cosmopolitan hotel through agoda.com. When we arrived at the hotel, we were given a really small room, next to the service elevator, with no view. When we complained, we were shown other rooms, but we were asked to pay an upgrade amount to change our room to any of those rooms.

The nearest metro station was quite a distance from the hotel.

The service was pretty ordinary and not at all hospitable. The hotel is located in a very busy area. It was a nightmare to get a taxi from the hotel during peak hours. On our day of departure, we struggled to get a taxi to the ferry station for almost an hour - with absolutely no help from the hotel staff. We would have almost missed our ferry.

Dear Prateek,

Thanks for your comments. First of all, we’re sorry to know that the reserved standard room didn’t quite meet your expectation. That said, we hope you had tried our limited-time room upgrade offer this time at just little extra cost, for a more spacious room with either the great view of the city or the racecourse. As for the hotel location, while it’s actually just 8-min walk away from the nearest Causeway Bay subway station, we highly recommend you to try our free shuttle service towards 15 major destinations including the subway station upon next visit.

On the other hand, we are sorry to learn about the unforeseen heavy traffic condition on your departure day, which had lengthened your waiting time for taxi and brought unnecessary inconvenience. Rest assured that all our front line staff will be reminded to extend sincere service to our guests under any circumstances, and to suggest alternative transportation means upon similar incidents in the future. We hope this single staying experience will not prevent you from staying with us again and we look forward to welcoming you back very soon.
