“This is serious WOW factor”
Reviewed 2 December 2011

from the moment we were met off the 'plane by the Porter and whisked seamlessly through Immigration with our luggage collected for us and loaded into the hotel limousine, I realised this was stellar luxury I could easily get accustomed to.

On arrival at the hotel, we were immediately ushered straight into the lift and up to our Suite on the 43rd Floor to quietly carry out registration, only then did we have a chance to first look outside the window across to Kowloon and then turn to look inside into the fantastic Suite accommodation, only one word can aptly describe it all WOW. A tray with hot tea was brought in together with some dainty sandwiches and little cakes to help us revive sufficiently after the long flight to unpack and get our stomachs used to the idea that we were in another time zone.

The decoration is beautiful, the sheets and pillows are heavenly and even Goldilocks would approve of the beds. The lifts are quick, the staff smiling and efficient and eager to help and please. The most exquisite flowers decorate the lobby and restaurants and everything runs to perfection, so a big compliment must be paid to the General Direction for their excellent management.

On previous occasions we have stayed in The Peninsula but there is no place to sit and wait as the lobby has been turned into a glorified Tea Shoppe for mainly non residents and on one occasion staying only for one night we drew a serious short straw for accommodation. Here in the Four Seasons not only does it have a large Lobby area and lounge but it is also situated in the IFC Mall so plenty of things to do to pass the time, especially if one has a late night flight.

The breakfast and afternoon tea is served on Lobby level in a large, airy area where one can sit and watch the world go by while gobbling up all sorts of yummy things that definitely do not appear on any Diet Sheet. When it is time to check out, hold your breath, close your eyes and just hand over the AMEX. This really must be amongst the top ten hotels of the world.

Room Tip: Well worth going the extra mile and choosing a Harbour View Suite

I have stayed at this hotel on two occasions, in May 2010 and last month, Nov 2011. Both times I stayed for approximately a week each, on vacation visiting friends. I had wonderful experiences both times.

The service starts right at the door, with smiling helpful porters and doormen. Front desk was cordial and pleasant. The receptionist's first words to me were, "Welcome back to Four Seasons," and addressed me by name, as she had already pulled up my record from the name tag on my luggage before I even approached the front desk. They checked me in efficiently, and I even showed up well ahead of check-in time, but they found a room for me.

The rooms are spacious and clean. Has all the expected amenities of a 6-star hotel.

The outdoor infinity pool is absolutely gorgeous. Poolside staff very attentive and efficient. I loved hanging out here during my stays. I swam in the pool next to Nicole Kidman during my last stay here. And had a nice chat with some American nut farmers in the large hot tub next to the pool.

The spa is equally nice, with a large "vitality pool," which is mainly a big hot tub with metal racks to lie on and powerful bubble jets. Also has a steam room and sauna. Very clean and luxurious showers.

The gym on the 2nd (?) floor overlooks the harbor. Gorgeous. The gym staff greets you and provides you with bottled water and towel as you walk in. Clean and well-maintained exercise machines and weight equipment. Juice and coffee bar with an attendant.

The lounge at lobby-level is also gorgeous. Grand, luxurious, yet comfortable and cozy at the same time. The Blue Bar at lobby level is very cool also, with good vibe, hip decor, great views, terrific service, and delicious drinks (ask the server for recommendations).

I also had the opportunity to dine at the attached restaurants Caprice and H One. Both with great quality food and service, and as always, spectacular views. My only advice is stay away from the skate entree at Caprice.

I like that one cannot enter the hotel directly from the street. You enter either through the upscale ICF Mall or through their private driveway that comes off a street with no pedestrian traffic. It feels more private, and it makes it easier for people coming to pick you up to just come up the driveway without worrying about blocking street traffic.

It is located in a convenient location in Central, walkable to the Airport Express station and the MTR through the IFC Mall.

Overall the best hotel I have ever stayed at. I will continue to enthusiastically patronize this establishment whenever I visit Hong Kong.

We stayed in many different five stars hotels in Hong Kong. Four seasons' service was excellent. We went with our child this time. When we walked into the room, there were sweet treats and a card with our daughter's name, child size slippers and a child size robe! My girl was very happy! The pool was beautiful with the great view. However, the Chinese restaurant Long Kim Hee's dinner was not that good as we expected. Anyway, we will finitely come back to stay at Four seasons hong kong!

One of the best hotels in the world, and the experience is not pushed onto you unlike other hotels, you choose. Top three in the world. Pool areas great and tranquil, n the midst of Hong Kong.

Room Tip: Choose harbour view.

I was at the four seasons in August this year and stayed there for 3 days. The staff are friendly and the rooms are huge by any standard. I was put up on the peak view room and must say that I was not disappointed even though I did not get a harbour view. The hotel is the best that I have experienced in whole of HK and certainly call for another stay. The best part of the hotel is the swimming pool with the harbour view. You will end up spending much more time than you would have planned. The only disappointment was the breakfast on offer as it lacked variety and was very expensive. The connectivity is something that you would be most impressed with, easy access to the IFC mall and Central Ferry. The spa facility is great and everything about the hotel is grand. Will definitely recommend this hotel if it fits your pocket.

The Four Seasons sits on an excellent location in the midst of everything. It's part of the IFC (International Financial Center) Mall so there are upscale shops and numerous restaurants that run the gamut from fast food to high end dining. At the lower level of the mall, there is a supermarket that has an excellent selection of fresh food and western groceries, bakery, sushi, hot food etc. The mall also leads to the Star Ferry terminal as well as the other island ferries. There is a metro/subway station (albeit a bit of a walk) in the mall as well as the airport train with check in counters for some airlines - a great convenience.
The hotel staff service is top notch. The rooms overlooking the harbor have spectacular views. The roof top pool is amazing. There is a jacuzzi to soak in while capturing the harbor and city view - try in during the day and at night. The pool has piped in music so it is quite an experience swimming underwater and the staff will serve ice water (and sometimes frozen fruit and ice cream).
Be sure to explore the area across the street from the hotel for a feel of Hong Kong. There are restaurants, shops, tailors, temples, markets all within 20 minute walks. Take the people escalators up to the higher points. Check out some of the local stalls/food vendors.
