“A Rarity - Good Tapas in Hong Kong”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

The food served here is freshly prepared, unpretentious, delicious and good value for money. Figs in bacon were great, as were meatballs, pulled spicy pork, tomato and mozzarella salad, a kind of octopus sashimi salad that was fresh and imaginative, and the scallops. There is a lot more than that on the menu and I will return a second time to sample some more. A great find in Sai Kung. Recommended.

“Outstanding”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

Been here several times and it never fails to impress. Excellent range of tapas and a very interesting beer menu. Best place in Sai Kung by far and one of the best in Hong Kong. Very get the overpriced seafood restaurants with poor quality food on the seafront, if you are in Sai Kung, this place is unbeatable.

“Favorite HK Restaurant!”
Reviewed 12 March 2014

Been living in Hong Kong for four years, mostly on the island, and consider myself a foodie. I think that this place is perfect! Charming atmosphere, decent drinks and outstanding food. Not sure what else they could do to make this place better - except maybe more inside seating on lower chairs (all bar stool height). It's a neighborhood place that you can go to for a number of reasons, lunch, dinner, after work drinks, quiet bar to talk on a first date, dessert and they're about to start a breakfast menu. They've recently added some nice wooden tables and chairs to their dog-friendly outdoor patio as well. The food is so delicious and versatile that you can order for snacks or make it a meal....

“Great new tapas bar in Sai Kung”
Reviewed 20 January 2014

Casa opened late last summer and has been a real hit in Sai Kung with their freshly made, tasty tapas and casual dining environs. We've visited a couple times now and left very impressed with everything tried and thinking about when we could make a return trip.

The tapa orders that we've been most impressed with are the bacon-wrapped figs, chorizo, portobello mushrooms and meatballs. They also serve very nice pinchos like the blue cheese & caramelised onion and bacon, brie & quince and artichoke, goat cheese and prosciutto. Cold tapas and seafood orders are also good and the wine & beer list is good enough.

Overall, Casa has been a pleasant surprise and is highly recommendable for those seeking to dine out in Sai Kung. This is a great great tapas restaurant, probably one of our very best in HK.

“Have the Borg Opened a Tapas Bar?”
Reviewed 26 December 2013

This place opened with a bit of a fanfare in Sai Kung because there is really nothing like it in the Kung and I haven't seen anything quite the same in the rest of HK.

I always try hard to be critical but there is very little to dislike. This is ostensibly a tapas bar, but the operators have assimilated everything that's they think is good to create a distinctive and original venue.

Food: the emphasis is on freshness, simplicity and quality, with a constantly changing menu. The owners/operators are foodies and it shows - a clever eclectic array of ingredients not necessarily arranged in a Spanish vibe but still usually tasty and moreish.

Drinks are excellent with some amazing craft beers on draft including the delicious 8wired IPA - it is so good it should be illegal. Wines are very reasonably priced and well-chosen as they should be when the owners are in the wine trade. Some interesting soft drinks.

The vibe is informal and friendly, the menus on chalkboards and all the cooking takes place in the centre -staged open kitchen. It is fun watching the chefs' ballet as they twirl around each other when it gets busy and they are in the zone.

Amazingly, the popularity of the restaurant appears to have tailed recently, which is a great shame because it is something the Kung needs. Perhaps when the weather gets warmer...

Sometimes there is outdoor seating and sometimes there isn't. It keeps changing on a weekly basis, hence the average score for that.
