“Smart Technology and Luxury at its Finest!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2010

After months of research, we selected this modern, beautiful hotel located in the heart of the business district. Equipped with smart technology and a huge bathroom spa, this room surrounded us in luxury. The linens were amazing and the mattress was the most comfortable hotel mattress we have experienced. The circular bathroom was enclosed with glass and surrounded a huge tub. Landmark's spa was also top notch (check out their website). Walking distance to Victoria's Peak and ferry in the heart of the financial district. Lots of restaurants and shopping. The hotel staff took time to answer our questions and ensure we had a fantastic time in Hong Kong!

Stayed a couple of times both at the old historic Mandarin Oriental and the new Landmark oriental. Hard to make a choice, depends on my mood.
Love there large modern rooms (60sqm), maybe the bathtub is a little too much ( its huge), service is what you expect from a Mandarin Hotel. Very very spacious rooms and quite. Can highly recommend the restaurants and the bar. Location fits both for business (right in the CENTER) and close to shopping and nightlife.
Hotel is close to perfect, pricey but you get what you pay for.

The design of the Landmark is much more sleek and contemporary than its sister property around the corner (Mandarin Oriental), and definitely for the better! The rooms are so neat and even though the bathroom takes up half of the suite I seriously contemplated sinking into the humongous bathtub instead of exploring Hong Kong. The location is superb to Lan Kwai Fong (nighttime hotstpot), delish restaurants and only a few blocks from the harbour.

A buffet breakfast held in MO Bar was bountiful, plenty of choices for every palate. Drinks there in the evening had a swanky feel without the pretention. The crown jewel however, would HAVE to be their spa. I am a spa-aholic and the spa at the Landmark was beautifully appointed, expansive, and the treatments were sublime. Definitely try to Rasul, it was the most fun treatment I've ever had (make sure you try it with a friend or two)!!

Upon arriving at 9 a.m. following 17 hours of travel, my bags were missing, I had a throbbing headache, and my room wasn't ready. That being said, the hotel staff ensured that I became as comfortable and relaxed as quickly as possible. After taking all of my personal information regarding the missing luggage (Singapore Airlines believe it or not) they escorted me to the spa where I was given a locker with slippers, robe, and towel. After a 10 minute shower, I came out to find a package of aspirin for my headache, and a bottle of Fiji water. I mean, these guys are on top of everything. After redressing, my room had been prepared, and to my amazement a box with a clean dress shirt was waiting.
Too perfect.
The room (L600) was large, and the bathroom had a rainfall shower. Huge bath tub. The entire room's shades and lights were on touch buttons on the walls. Cisco VOIP phone system. 3 interconnected flat panel t.v.s with in ceiling speakers throughout. There were no views other than the other buildings surrounding the hotel, however, that was known going in. You're in Hong Kong Central, attached to the Landmark Mall and 2 blocks from Lan Kwai Fong (all the bars and restaurants not to mention being amidst stores such as Prada, Zegna, Armani, etc. The hotel bar is very trendy, though pricey, of course. Not much need to hang out there considering what's around the hotel itself.
The only real negative was that you have to pay for wi-fi internet access from your room. With my room rate already being around $600 U.S. a night, I thought this was a little silly.
Would I recommend this hotel? Absolutely, but only if you have the budget to afford it.

This must be the best location in Central HongKong for shopping & restaurants and serves as an excellent subway hub. You walk straight into Landmark with superb walkways connecting all the way to IFC and the piers. If you need to travel further, the subway is right beneath Landmark.

The lobby is reminiscent of classy European hotels where all you have is the reception desk and a small seating area, a huge contrast to the hotels with huge lobbies. It makes the entrance discreet, almost as if one were in an apartment block.

We stayed in an L600 type room, which is well-designed, and has everything one needs, and one cannot help but feel that one is in a small apartment rather than a hotel room. The only grouse is that one needs to pay for broadband access - why not follow the Shangri-la group and provide it free?

The spa has a great indoor swimming pool and sufficiently equipped gym

Breakfast at Amber is recommended to continue with the tone of exclusive discreet comfort

Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful without getting in the way

We loved his hotel, which was the place we stayed for the Hong Kong leg of our honeymoon. We were very lucky to be upgrade to a suite, which was beautiful and enormous. Beds were comfortable, the bathroom was incredible - with a huge round bath and our sitting room was very stylish. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The spa and pool were great - although I would suggest better lighting round the pool for people who want to read while their partner swims. Breakfast also comes highly recommended. Would definitely stay there again.
