“Go for the Drinks but not the Food”
Reviewed 30 April 2012

I'm a two year resident of Hong Kong and going to the outdoor patio at Red is a popular thing to do. Even though it's a public space I have always purchased my drinks from Red whose cocktails are always strong and delicious, and served in a glass! Llast night I ordered some food for the first time and I was hugely disappointed. It was tasteless, greasy and overpriced. My chicken skewers were not grilled but deep-fried, and there was nothing spicy about them other than the pizza sauce that was drizzled lightly over them. But worse, they were served as finger food with a few napkins - no plates, no forks and knives and so greasy! My friends ordered the quesdilla and the salsa was made from a ketchup base, not a real tomato base. It was truely inedible.

“A must to visit as a tourist.”
Reviewed 19 February 2012

Some of the best views, water front overlooking Kowloon side, food is good, cold draft beers slightly over priced but located in a public area that allows BYOB bring your own beer. Recommended.

“A cool place that doesn't have to cost a lot!”
Reviewed 2 November 2011

Went here with friends and because the roof terrace of the IFC is public space you don't have to be tied to one bar or have to buy their food. It is a good place for a casual drink and to enjoy the views of Hong Kong at night. you could go up just for the view and not spend a single cent!

“Great fun bar with a breathtaking view!”
Reviewed 5 July 2011

We were very lucky on our trip to RED. The air was fresh, the breeze was strong and the weather was incredible. It was an absolute treat to sit outside on the roof of one of the levels of the IFC mall and take in the atmosphere, listen to some live music and watch the ferries go back and forth to Kowloon. This must be one of the best views in the city. Plenty of seats and the tables and chairs are part of a general common area - where you can bring your own food and drinks if you wish. Otherwise RED has some great offerings and makes a good sangria!
