we stayed in this hotel for just a night (December 27, 2007).. on second thought, I would have loved to have stayed longer.

Staying in it was like every person's fairytale come true... everything was 'magical'... the little touches that the management have added certainly added to the 'magical' feel of the hotel.

One 'minor' flaw in our otherwise perfect stay was the fire alarm that went off in the early morning of the 28th. As I was watching TV, my mum was doing her 'morning ritual'... fire alarms suddenly went off. Lucky, that we had the robes provided in the hotel to cover our state of undress as we hurriedly gathered our bags with all our valuables e.g. passports, wallet, camera etc.

We stayed outside for approximately 45 minutes, without a clue as to what was happening, the thing that pissed me off was there was nobody from the management to officially explain what triggered the fire alarm. If there was fire in any part of the hotel or, if it was already safe enough to return. We had to follow the trickle of guests who decided to go back in.

It was a 'pleasant' enough stay.... ask me if I would go back, I would definitely say YES!

We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights before christmas, and 2 nights after christmas. During both stays, we found that service at most divisions were still very good, but actually downgraded compared to last year.

During our stay last year, we encountered more professional and friendly staff. This year, we experienced that some staff/cast members were not as helpful & enthusiastic as last year, and ... there were definitely less smiles.

Though it's still one of our favorite hotels in Hong Kong, we felt like people who work at the hotel (and the park) are losing their "Disney Spirit".

Tried the Victorian Spa, in our opinion it was average. The treatment rooms were nice, but nothing extraordinary.

We had one wonderful experience to share here. One night during our stay at the hotel, we went to mongkok, got carried away, and didn't realize that it was almost midnite. We rushed back to the mtr station, and when we got to sunny bay we waited for 10 min, and no train. So we decided to call the hotel to ask what time was the last mtr to disneyland. The man who answered the phone asked where our exact position was. We told them we're at sunny bay, and had waited for over 10 minutes. He put us on hold for 1 min, got back on line and told us that a train was coming to sunny bay. He was right, and we got on the train back to disney. When we reached disneyland station, we ran out the train. We had missed the last shuttle bus by 3 minutes, and thought that we had to wait for half hour to 1 hour for the next shuttle (the shuttle runs every hour after midnight). It's probably a 15 minutes walk to the hotel, but we were very exhausted. To our surprise, the shuttle bus driver was waiting for us at the station entrance, and guided us to the bus.

Apparently the man at the hotel who took our call (regret didn't ask for his name) contacted the shuttle driver and told him there were hotel guests who were trying to catch the last shuttle but were still in the train. When we tried to tip the bus driver (didn't get his name, but he was about 45-55 year old) to say thank you, he refused!! Thank you very much to both of you !!

We'll definitely go back and stay at this hotel :)

This is our first Disneyland Hotel stay and my 31/2 year old son enjoyed it immensely. He was so excited when the taxi drove into the hotel's driveway. He wanted to ask the bellhop if Mickey stays there. The hotel has all the typical Disney touches - bronze statues of Mickey and Minnie at the entrance of the main entrance. Because it was Christmas season, there was a huge Christmas tree and other festive decorations.
Checking-in was stress free. There is a specially created corner near the check-in counter for children to watch Disney cartoons while we complete the necessarily procedure.
We reserved the Garden View room. Although it was the same level as the lobby, the room was far from the maddening crowd. It was really huge by HK standards. The two single twin beds were sufficient for the three of us. There is even a specially made stool for my son to stand on to wash his hands by the sink. If the child needs a break from Disneyland, there are Disney channels, movies and activities organised by the hotel to keep him occupied.
Disneyland Hotel provides a free shuttle to Disneyland at 10 minute interval. We found visiting the park very convenient because of this service.
No visit to Disneyland Hotel is complete without buffet breakfast in the Enchanted Garden. Apart from the buffet section for children, the Disney characters coming for breakfast certainly make the day of any child or adult!
We will stay at the Disneyland Hotel again but we will avoid weekends!
