“Little gem in CWB”
Reviewed 23 April 2011

I stayed for 2 nights over the weekend. We arrived early and were allowed to check in to our room by 12 pm. There was complimentary bottled water everyday, as well as Wing Wah biscuits and Minute Maid juices for the first day. The room and toilet were clean, and had everything we needed. We did not have breakfast on premises... there is way too much good food in HK to need to eat in the hotel!

Location-wise, it is easy to get everywhere. The tram stops either on the main Yee Wo street or Percival, and buses, cabs are plenty. If you are traveling with luggage, take Exit E which you can immediately see upon exiting CWB MTR. There are no steps to climb - just make your way to the main street where you see the trams, and walk away from Sogo, cross the road to see Regal Hotel, cross another road (there's an overhead bridge but no one uses it...) and Lanson Place is at the corner. Takes about 5-10 minutes, depending on time of day (due to crowds).

The Jardine Bazaar nearby provides cheap bargains if you don't have time to head into Kowloon. Good shopping at Times Sq, Sogo, Island Beverley and Laforet. On our last day, the hotel extended check out to 2 pm, but we wanted to spend more time out, so we left the luggage there, and headed back to pick it up. They allowed us to hang out in the reception area and repack our luggage, use the toilet etc.

A great place to stay for leisure trip. Hotel also provides shuttle for business travelers but I didn't need to take it, Can't wait to be back in HK!

Room Tip: Take Exit E from CWB MTR to skip the stairs!

Stayed here for 3 nights in Apr11. The inside of the hotel is top quality, very modern and elegant. Staff are very friendly and helpful, got upgrade to a suite and given complimentary internet so no complaints about that!
Rooms are provided with kitchenette complete with cutlery and utensils.
Bottled water and other snacks in room are complimentary which is a first for me.
Used the gym, although small it has everything you need. No pool.
Had breakfast one morning, was ok, you are not missing much if you dont have this, esp as you have to pay seperate for this. It serves the purpose if you are in a hurry and not familiar with the area . Its not quite a restaurant, its just part of the lobby where they serve food.
The location of the hotel is very convenvient to walk around CausewayBay although the street the hotel is on is a bit hidden and awkward to find at first.
Taxi from airport is circa $350-HKD.
All in all I would recommend this hotel

Room Tip: Make use of kitchenette, its all fully equipped!

I have stayed here several times over the last two years. Generally it is for business and I have always been impressed with how quiet the place is for the location as well as the service. Breakfast is a continental one but provides more than enough to start the day. Eggs , cold cuts, etc etc. For business traveler this really is the best place to stay considering the location as well as the amenities. Gym is top notch and never busy. Breakfast area is quiet and caters to executives with all the major papers in the am plus a great area to boot up your computer in the morning.

This time I decided to bring the family and was very happy with their service, They went out of their way to provide DVD's for the children and also made some special breakfast for the children when they saw the family in the breakfast area in the morning.

Cant say enough about this hotel.

Very nice small hotel, centrally located and a short walk to the subway for easy connections to Central. It was clean and quiet, and had adequate business facilities. It is not a large hotel such as a Marriott or Hyatt, and lacks a bar meeting area, but I found that using those facilities at other nearby hotels worked well.

Stayed 2 nights in a superior room with a view across Victoria Park - nicer than staring at the building across the street. Booked through Agoda, but we paid on check-in for a deal that included breakfast, free wi-fi, late check-out etc. Our flight in from Heathrow landed at 7 am but they were completely unfazed by our early arrival, sat us in a lounge with the morning papers and free coffee and within an hour the room was ready.
Without exception the staff were friendly and helpful and it helps turn what is already a very good hotel into something a bit more special. The rooms are a good size, breakfast is plentiful and all tasty (eggs cooked to order). We got there by Airport Express and MTR but returned to the airport using the airport bus, arranged by the hotel, which cost no more and was more convenient.

This is a very nice hotel if you want a change and stay in Causeway Bay. Close to the MRT (subway) and other transport with lots of shops and restaurants in the area. When checking in I was upgraded to a deluxe corner room with great views.

The room is a good size which includes a mini kitchen comprising a sink, a microwave, stove top and fridge. The rooms are well furnished and the beds comfortable. The facilities have been well thought out.

If I had one complaint it would be breakfast. Breakfast is held in the lounge area and one thing I dislike is having meals from a lounge chair or couch with a coffee table. I would prefer to eat at a proper table with a proper chair. Also the selection at breakfast is not great - there are two choices of eggs for example, scrambled or fried. and the service is not that great. But this is no reason not to stay here.

Having been to Hong Kong many times but normally stay either in Kowloon or Central, staying at Lansen Place Hotel, Causeway Bay is a pleasant alternative.

Lanson Place's staff are absolutely impress me with their helpfulness. the crew at the ground floor are top of my favorite list. Rooms r wonderfully clean and well functioned. we are in a group of 12. and all of my friends express their impression of the hotel very positive despite the concern prior to the trip. I've already recommend ur hotel to a few of my friends already. and I hope that you'd maintain the quality of service there as long as u can.
