Sham Shui Po is a rare place for tourists even for some local people because it is one of the poorest districts in Hong Kong. But don't worry, it is absolutely safe and has a lot to offer. It keeps the original taste of Hong Kong with its abundance of local restaurants and markets. There is a computer center, vintage flea market in a close distance with the MTR.
I love the district and would recommend it to tourists because HK is not just about money, commercial centers and luxury goods. There is a lot to explore in the "common life" of people and look into how people from lower social class live.
