Very nice Hotel. Excellent location.
Just in front of the metro station.
The hotel is within walking distance to Victoria Park and shopping areas. Close to Big Bus Company stop too.
Spacious rooms and lovely / hard/ king size bed.
Also will recommend the foot massage in front of the hotel – you will need if you are on holiday .

We stayed her for 3 nights and chose the hotel as it was directly opposite the Tin Hau metro. The location was terrific and we had a suite which was fantastic to relax in after a long day of shopping!

The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome while also being able to answer most of our questions. The room was very clean and the suite was a good size for Hong Kong standards. The Wi Fi didn't work in the room only in the reception area.

After leaving there and staying at the Grand Hyatt on Macau for 2 nights we returned and unfortunately had been booked in to the Butterfly on Victoria - nearly straight opposite the L'Hotel. What a disappointment after the L Hotel and Grand Hyatt!

Would absolutely recommend the L'Hotel for Australian's wanting a central hotel at a reasonable price that is close to transport and offers good size rooms. Many thanks for the stay!

Room Tip: The corner suites are worth the upgrade with curved windows offering a terrific view

I stayed her for 2 nights. I chose the hotel as it had good reviews on Tripadvisor.and was directly opposite the Tin Hau metro. This was so handy as it poured with rain for the whole of my visit so it was easy to get around.
The staff were helpful but not over friendly but made me feel welcome. The room was clean and comfortable and not too bad in size for Hong Kong standards. The Wi Fi didn't work in the room only in the reception area. I booked this hotel 7 weeks in advance and requested a room on the higher floors and also an early check in. I ended up on the 17 th floor ( there are 33 floors) and although I arrived at 12.30pm was told to come back at 2.00pm to check in.
Breakfast was included but it was nothing special. It was kept warm by heat lamps which caused the food to be dried out or by Bain Marie which over cooked it. It was only just warm once it was plated up. The selection was okay and if you stuck to fruit yoghurt and toast you should be okay.
The hotel was in a good location to see the sites.

Room Tip: If your solo book a double room to get more space as the rooms in Hong Kong are usually small.

Chose on basis of location, views and swimming pool. All were exactly as recent TripAdvisor reviews set out .Staff were efficient friendly and helpful and in 4 days their I only shared my private pool once-I guess HK visitors are just so keen to sight see that they don't care about pleasures of the flesh .Staff recommended local restaurant which was so comfortable welcoming and served really good ( not ersatz) food that we went next night too!

Room Tip: Ask for >floor 25

The best thing about this hotel is it ia convenient close to the MTR and reasonably priced. The worst thig is the breakfast which is not great poor quality of fruit and definitely doesnt suit UK or Irish tastes the beacon looks terrible and the sausages are white in colour although I didnt try them. The room is clean and tidy but decor is tired and it is in need of refurbishment.I was on the 36 th floor so it was quiet and the lifts are quick.Staff are friendly and you are well treated so if you are on a budget it is a good place to stay.

Location
Located in Causeway bay, on Hong Kong Island in which from Hong Kong station by the free hotel bus takes about 10 minutes. Right across the road from the hotel is Tin Hau on the MTR Island line, to get to the Hong Kong Station is about 4 stops and takes less than 10 minutes, from there you can access Kowloon or Airport express- around 30 minutes journey to the airport. This area of Hong Kong is more residential but has many shops, mall, Mcdonalds star bucks etc, much more quieter though and cleaner than say Jordan station area.
Room
The room was very nice and cosy, located on the 36th floor the main features was the incredible views of the harbour both Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. The room was modern decor with very nice lighting both reading lights around the bed as well as underneath lighting and on bed posts. The bed itself was quite overly firm but nonetheless slept well. There is a large glass table with two seats and plugs nearby- great for working especially at night where you can watch the incredible light show that uses many sky scrapers that the ICC tower offers from 745pm. There was a TV in which had many channels including pay-per view movies, this area also had a fridge and glass table with large mirror above for saying doing make up. There is luggage rack and large clothes cabinet in which contained an easy to use safe as well as slippers. The AC was controllable and felt it was quite comfortable overall. Plugs are all UK based but plenty for plugging multiple items.
The bathroom was standard size with a bath/shower combo it looked a bit dated- especially the shower head which had some limescale. However it was all clean and offered a nice full mini amenity set including toothbrushes and vanity kits. Two bottles of water were included.
Facilities
This particular room offered free WIFI but told at reception this was only because I was upgraded so presumably some rooms don't. I was able to use multiple devices without a password and it worked exceptionally fast. There is a nice pool on the roof, it is quite small so really for two people max if doing lanes, and is a little cold initially, on the terrace there is also some sun loungers but limited, the view again is incredible. Above this is small gym in which has mainly cardio equipment- full glass windows so you can work out and have a great view to motivate you. For food there is a restaurant on the 1st floor, which I used for breakfast - it was adequate, average selection of food both Asian and Western. It was edible but did not look all that appetising.
Staff
Check-in went smoothly and so did check-out. They all seem very serious and offer very little freindly dialogue in general but are polite. Basically they don't go out there way for customer service but are helpful if asked anything.
Overall this hotel offered a pool and was reasonably priced, whilst it is outside of the main area's - it is not too far as the subway system is very efficient and quick to get to places like Kowloon. The area itself doesn't offer that much but the main aspect is the views from the room which are very nice. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Try and get a room above floor 25.

I've written a review for this hotel before (2010?).

Stayed here again because it has one of the best locations and value for money on Hong Kong Island.

Everything about it is still great, but the rooms/decor is definitely starting to look old. I know the 1 bedroom suites have been renovated and look modern/new, but it's time the hotel should do that for the other regular rooms too (especially the bathrooms)!
