“Splendid hotel!”

A great little gem in the heart of the Hong Kong-island. Great staff, good service and high quality rooms. Close to a good restaurant in the sister hotel Cosmopolitan. Loved the Breeze-terrass with free wi-fi and complimentary coffee and tea.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for cityview. It was truly spectacular.

I needed a twin room last week when a friend had an early flight out of Hong Kong. The location was convenient. The room was small but comfortable and clean. The layout was a little odd (a couch facing the bathroom) but over-all, no complaints. The bed was comfortable. We stayed on the sixth floor which was ideal as the fifth floor has an outdoor terrace (good for smokers) where we brought our own drinks from a nearby 7eleven. There were complimentary coffee and tea facilities in a little kitchenette just inside the terrace. If I need a hotel in Hong Kong again I would go back. - Oh, and if you're here for the horse racing, you couldn't get much closer to the track.

Room Tip: 5 floor is apparently the only one with wifi but may be a little noisy as that's also where the...

We stayed here for three nights recently. The hotel was in a good location and great value for money. The room was very small, not much larger than our double bed with a frosted glass pane for our window. However given the location and price this seemed to represent good value for money and so much cheaper than the hotels in Central. Only a £3 cab fare from Central. No wi-fi in rooms was irritating tho, it was possible but for a fee.

Stayed here twice
- First trip was Business (1 week), second was pleasure (2 weeks)
- First trip wasn't pleasant so the hotel GM decided to set things right and upgraded my room on the second trip to the Superior City View.
- During the second trip, the Supervisor came out to greet me personally.
- Breakfast was great. Lots of choices
- Overall - the rooms were clean, helpful and friendly staff.
- A bit of a walk to the closest MTR, but there is a shuttle running from the hotel to Time Square every 30 mins.

Pros:
- Value
- Service
- GM's willingness to work with you and resolve your complaints

Cons:
- Location
- Lack of food venues around the hotel
- Non-city view is faced towards the cemetery

Would I stay here again - Probably, if I need to be around Causeway bay area
Would I recommend this hotel to my family and friends - Yes (only if they choose the city view)

Room Tip: Must upgrade to a larger rooms with City View on longer stays! The standard rooms faces the cemetery...

Dear guest,

Thank you for staying with us again. While Cosmo Hotel is located just 8-minute away from the nearest Causeway Bay subway station, public transports like buses, trams and taxies are also available at the doorstep. In addition, Cosmo hotel offers complimentary shuttle service that brings guests to 15 major destinations in a hassle-free way. We also hope you had the chance to approach our Concierge team as there are many eateries and local shops within 5-8 mins walk from the hotel. Though there are a few rooms facing the beautiful historical churchyard, most of our rooms come with spectacular city view. Guests could simply let us know their preference during reservations. We look forward to serving you again soon.

I stayed in October twice and each time 4 nights in an executive room. Overall, staff is friendly and helpful, location is fine and you can walk to the Times square, where all the life is.
What I did not like was the level of noise coming from the pipes, when other guests are using the bathrooms, the rooms noise isolation is poor too - you can hear your neighbours talking. The hotel is showing signs of aging, but is clean and just OK maintained.
The breakfast is very basic and is held in the bar area - not the nicest part, to be honest.
Each time the room is cleaned, staff swithes on AC at 15 degrees and coming in feels very uncomfortable - be aware and warn recepetion if you sensable to the AC.
The gym was in the hotel next door - Cosmopolitan and is very small and poorly equipped.

We stayed at COSMO in November this year, in their triple room. The main advantage was that the third bed was not a roll-in, but a real one. We hate portable beds with soft springs. Two beds are grouped together, while the third is in a separate corner (check hotel website for room layout), so that's pretty useful if you have a friend who snores, or who wants more privacy. There is also an additional WC, so it's great for the morning bathroom rush. And all this at a pretty reasonable hotel rate.

The main gripe we had is that the closet space is really small. The charging stations are also at weird locations, like behind the wall-mounted TVs, rather than the usual bedside table locations.

The hotel provides free bus transportation to and fro Causeway Bay, Airport Express and the Central station, and there's also a public bus stop directly outside the hotel main entrance. We normally take the public bus down to Central, which barely 10 mins away. Causeway Bay MTR is a 10 mins walk away, where lots of food, shopping and entertainment are located.

Overall, I'll still recommend Cosmo to travelers.

Stayed in this hotel during Mega Fair (end October 2013). Service on the whole was great from the porters to the front desk/managers. We were always pleasantly greeted and help was also great with regards to directions and transportation arrangement. We realized we left some money in the room and called the front desk, they promptly double locked our room. One inconvenient factor they may want to look into is that internet connection is charged by the hour per device. However, there is free internet on their al fresco lounge on the fifth floor with free tea/coffee too. Overall, a good experience, staff is competent, service is fast and courteous. Special thanks to Victor Cheung for all his help.
