The cable car experience offers one of the best panoramic view of Hong Kong from height. The view of the mountains and sea is stunning.

Ngong Ping Village is just a by-the-way attraction along the route to the big Buddha, which sits on top of the hill. The big Buddha is one of the icons of Hong Kong. You can capture some great shots of the attraction after scaling the flights of steps up the hill.

Although touring the attraction may not need half a day, some time is best set aside to travel to Tung Chung MTR station from town and to queue for the cable car ride to and fro the stations. Queue for the cable car ride may take an hour or more on weekend.

i was disappointed that 360 cable car wasnt operate on that day i was there due to the maintenance.so, i took the bus from Tung Chung MTR. The queue was long around 30 mins. and it took around 45 mins-1 hour to get there.
during the trip you can enjoy the nice view of countryside like hills, trees, and even beach too.
as i arrived,i was amazed by the stunning view of The Giant Buddha on the top of the hills and also the surroundings. so worth to visit!
you have to climb the stairs to go to the top and enjoy the view.there are many other nice statues on the top but much smaller than the Buddha.
dont forget to see the village too where you can buy souvenirs.
you need to talk a walk to the bus terminal to catch the bus going back to Tung Chung MTR.
overall i really love this place! a must visit!

Location : very near to MTR station, time required to cover this place is 4+

Its really very big Buddha and entire package is much bigger that big budhha, many people use to take A DAY ticket for Disneyland and Big Buddha but that not correct. This place big Buddha needs atleast 4 hours because come with a package called Air-Land-Sea. Air means first you will have to travel in cable car to reach the main venue then land means walk over the place and see the walking with Buddha and Big Buddha, then last one is sea, which mean boat ride to see the fisherman’s life style and their house on top of water, dolphin etc.

Big Buddha has hundreds of steps (around 200) hence I had to keep my baby pram in the ground without any protection but it’s a safe place and that’s why people like me use to get their prams back.

Its all in one LAND, AIR and SEA.

- Please book the tickets online and avoid atleats 1 hour time in queuing.

First let me say that we very much enjoyed the ride and there were some spectacular views. Walking around the village and surrounding area was also nice, but the wait was extremely long. Two hours and no eating or drinking in line is not ideal with 3 small children. There was a very short line for people with advanced purchase tickets. I don't know where to get them but that would definitely be worthwhile.

We came back down @5pm, another hour wait but the sun setting over Buddah was beautiful.

We travelled on the 360 cable car to the Big Buddah and Ngong Ping village. The cable car ride is worth the trip alone. Your get excellent views of the airport, and at times it looks like the big jets are climbing out right underneath you. The Big Buddah is very impressive, and offers very nice views of the countryside as well as some outlying islands. The stairs to the top are steep, and I lost count after 250! The village is reasonably quiet and peaceful, with a glimpse of what it was like before the British settled in this part of the world.
