This property masks itself as a upscale luxury hotel. It costs too much to reach the hotel from the train station. Then when we arrived they had the check in area roped off like a movie theater.
The staff was not at all helpful with directions or travel information. The rooms are small(yes nice view if you get) with dirty, stained carpets, sheets felt like the detergent was not washed out, bed was very soft, no extra pillows, cable TV only 2 Western channels all else in Chinese. Bathroom is extremely small no well appointed for the money. Now the location, its across the Island there is absolutely Nothing close to this property so your at the mercy of their shuttle bus which fills up fast so you can spend lots of time never getting out of there. The last bus from the station is 10:45pm so do not miss it if you can find it...otherwise a 8 HD taxi ride. They have a very small roped off lounge which you pay a premium for to get wi-fi.....if you have no wi-fi expect to pay 40HD for one hour of a very slow internet connection! Rip Off!!!!!!!! There are so many other options....lesson learned.....hope this helps...it was really a bad property managed foolishly.......

Room Tip: There are much better options in HK..with better location, amenities and room

This hotel makes you forget that you are in cramped HONGKONG were hotel rooms are unreasonably small.

The view from your room is no less than the magnificant Tsing Ma Bridge.

The rooms are well kept and maintained too.

The only setback is its location.
There were also no shops within the vicinity and the free shuttle to the MTR is very limited.

But this should be the perfect hotel if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Hongkong.

Otherwise, it is better to book downtown.

On our way in transit through HK my husband and I had a layover of several hours after an overnight flight. A room in one of the airport hotels was hundreds of dollars so we looked beyond and found a good deal on wotif at the Royal View Hotel for AUD$125. The hotel is a 15 - 20 minute HKD$200 taxi ride away from the airport. We booked the ANZ Spot deal which included the Club Floor Seaview Room, located on 19/F, with full-length sea view at South China Sea and Ching Ma Bridge, room size at around 280 sq. ft. Free access to the Club Lounge from 11am to 8pm for refreshments and late check-out.

Location: The hotel is located directly below the Chinag Ma Bridge. It has a nice pool and direct access to a sandy beach with a swimming area netted off from the harbour. The downside is there did not appear to be many shops around the hotel and it's a 5 - 10 minute shuttle bus ride away from the MTR station. The hotel runs a free shuttle service for guests. We noted there were plenty of taxi's waiting outside the hotel when we arrived and left so I assume there's a constant flow.

Room: the hotel was true to the booking description on wotif. We got views overlooking the Chiang Ma Bridge. The room was clean and quite spacious. The bathroom accessories were Crabtree and Evelyn. Our room had a small kitchenette. Overall, we were very cumfortable and satisfied with the room.

Breakfast: was a Western and Chinese buffet selection with an assortment of fresh fruit, bacon, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, sasuages, congee, dumplings, fried rice, and so forth. There wasn't an option for omlet. Coffee was freshly ground. The food was fresh and was topped up while we ate.

VIP area: is an open sitting area in the lobby on the GF called Viewers with free food and drink. We sat in this area for about an hour after checking out before heading back to the airport and had the space nearly all to ourselves. We didn't intend on staying for an hour but we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of free food and drink available. There was a selection of finger food - smoked salmon, sasuages, tuna sandwiches, sweet pasteries, deserts. Beverages included tea, coffee, beer and wine. We drank nearly a full bottle of Chilean chardonnay just by helping ourselves from the fridge which was apparently quite acceptable.

Service: friendly and efficient. Nothing to rave about but certainly no complaints.

Verdict: Considering the value for money we were delighted with our stay and won't hesitate to book again. It's great for access to the airport but if staying for more than 1 or 2 nights it's better to book a hotel in Kowloon or on HK island.

I stayed at this hotel and found it very clean, great rooms, great views of the harbour... A little out of the way, shuttle bus available and taxi's weren't expensive... The staff were very helpful and the food in the hotel was very good. I would recommend this hotel for people who want to stay in a quiet area of Hong Kong rather than the busy centre.. A bus stop is right near the hotel. I travelled alone and thoroughly enjoyed my stay :):):)

The hotel building and facilities were ok and the surroundings view were actually pretty good. The room was small but clean and comfortable.
The location is very far from the city, but there's a free shuttle bus service from this hotel to the nearest train station and vice versa. However, the shuttle bus seats are limited and the driver will not let you in when all seats are taken, and it has limited operations hour too so you must be precise with its schedule if you wish to use this service. You must be ready at the shuttle bus station 10-15min before the bus arrive, otherwise you won't get any seat.

I stayed in this hotel as part of a tour package arranged by a travel agent.

The hotel is very nice and with comparable room size and quality to 5 star hotels at a 3 star price. The bed and towels are very clean as well as the bathroom, which is adequately supplied with toiletries. They also provide complimentary bottled drinking water.

They serve set meals for breakfast maybe because that’s the package our agent took for us but they also have a buffet. Food taste is average same as what you can expect from fast food restaurants but I do not know about the buffet since I never tried it.

The pool is clean and with enough number of chairs and pool beds. It has a running water designed like a falls that flows to the pool. This is the place in the hotel that I really enjoyed and appreciated. They also have a gym with basic exercise equipment.

The front desk needs a lot of improvement though. The staffs are not consistent. They could be warm for a while and very cold after sometime, actually cold most of the time. Checking in and out is slower than most of the hotels I stayed in. The hotel should provide more seats for waiting guests considering their slow process in checking in and out hotel guests.

Another negative thing I can say about the hotel is the location which is in Tsuen Wan that is far from where the action is but it could turn out to be a positive thing to those who are looking for tranquility and peace. The hotel tries to remedy this condition by providing a round trip free shuttle ride to the Tsim Sha Tsui area where most of the shops and restaurants are. It leaves about every 30 minutes but it may leave late depending maybe on the number of passengers. However going back to the hotel could cost you a small fortune if you miss the last trip of the shuttle bus from Tsim Sha Tsui if you would take a taxi. So if you are planning to stay late outside don't count on the free shuttle bus to be there to bring you back to the hotel. You can try the MTR if you want to save some money and either walk from the station or take a short taxi ride to the hotel.

My family just came back from a stay at the hotel on 25 - 26 August. This is the first time we used this hotel. Whilst we were waiting for the room after check-in, my daughter was unfortunate and was bitten by a bee. The wound got swollen, it hurt so much she could not hold back her tears. The hotel staff immediately came to help and provided the necessary assistance and information. We eventually rushed our daughter to a nearby hospital. When we got back to the hotel, exhausted and a bit down, we were pleasantly surprised that our original booking of a deluxe room had been upgraded to a sea view 2-bedroom suite, the check-out time had been extended for hours from noon to up to 5:00 pm if we want, and we were also given 50% discount coupon for the buffet dinner at the hotel. All these added delight to our stay. Front desk manager Mr Ricky Lau had been of particular help throughout the two days. We would like to say our thanks here.
