“Squeezy but......”
Reviewed 18 November 2012

We found this place by accident. On our last night in Hong Kong we wanted dumplings. Where to go? Most places only had menus in Cantonese so you can tell we weren't that adventurous. Hopped onto the escalator ( a must do in HK) and headed to mid level and started our search. Hit Wellington St and in front of us was Wang Fu. Nothing to lose we went inside. Yes they could find a table for 2. You sit where there is space and share the table with others. This doesn't suit everyone but it was fine. We went for dinner it may /maynot be as crowded at lunchtime.Seating for about 30 people in the dumpling house. Very little room to move but the food was enjoyable. Probably nothing out of this world but good dumpling fare. The pork & chives dumpling had too much chive for my partner and anything with prawns and pork had more pork than prawns.Dumpling mix was light and prices very reasonable. We finished off with their smoked chicken which was delicious. Mostly local diners which is always a good sign and a small number of westerners.

“tasteless food”
Reviewed 4 March 2012

The cumumber in vinegar taste bad. you could hardly find chicken strips in the chicken and glass noodle. The dumplings are terrible, the pork inside taste only of soy sauce, not meat. The restaurant smells .

“The best dumplings you'll ever eat!”
Reviewed 30 January 2012

You absolutely MUST go to Wang Fu for dumplings when you visit Hong Kong. Head to the Mid-Levels area, take a ride on the escalator, and head to this little dumpling shop for lunch. You won't be disappointed. If the pork and pea shoot dumplings are in season, you're in for a real treat. You will likely be the only tourists in the restaurant, too. Then, you can spend the afternoon browsing on Hollywood Road.
