Although is not a big Aquarium, it contains a sufficient variety of species, activities and a dolphin show. Polar section with polar bears, foxes, penguins and other species appears most interesting, although for the animals demonstrated there might not be very comfortable place especially during Summer time. Dolphin show is really entertaining, therefore it is hard to find a seat. Overall during weekends and holidays the aquarium is very crowded but at the end you feel that you have enjoyed your visit. Please note that since Zhongshan mountain is a very popular destination for locals and tourists, it might be a little difficult to find a taxi in order to return to your hotel. For the transportation within the attraction areas of Zhongshan and especially from/to aquarium you might need to walk or use the park's small buses/vehicles.

This waterworld is on the smaller side, but it has a decent collection fishes and other animals. If you remember to bring a photo, you can purchase an annual pass that's only 50 rmb more than the regular admission fee. Initial walkway has a lot of fishes and bigger fishes. Then you get to an area with the jellyfishes. There are small jellyfishes for purchase in little glass containers. They say it will last a few months, but it always only last a few weeks for us.

Then there's the typical water tunnel where you can see the giant sea turtles and sting rays.

There's an area for the underwater show, usually too overcrowded to really enjoy. Then there's a hike up the stairs (elevator is always not operational), at the 2nd floor is a small room with pigeons. Then at the 3rd floor is the main exit where there's a cafeteria (food sucks). And an entry way to the polar bear (you can feed! for a fee) and I think a white furred wolf and more pigeons. From here you can also get to the main show which is done every 1-1.5 hours. It's really crowded to so go early to get good seats, at least 15 minutes early to even get in). The show's pretty good. Lots of seals and dolphins swimming.

Small collection. But they have an entertaining dolphin show. Best is that you can feed a polar bear in its enclosure for 20 Rmb.

I visited there in April first week of 2013. I was little late to arrive there (at 3 PM) so could not visit all the place. So its better to visit there early so that we can pass our whole day. The entry fee is 150 for adult and 50% discount for the foreigners studying in PLA university when the Identity card is shown to them. It was good experience as I visited for the first time in such huge aquarium.
