We were a group of friends visiting various parts of Tibet, from Lasha down south to the border of Nepal, the 3 days Kora around sacred Mount Kailash and the reign of Guge. All the way we had David as our guide and he really made the trip as smooth and interesting as it could get.
David has a most extensive knowledge of Buddhism, both Tibetan and Nepalese, being a fervent Buddhist himself, so all visits to the monasteries were thoroughly explained.
During the tough (highest point as at 5630m above sea level) trek around Mount Kailash, were everyone had his own speed and rhythm, he was attentive that all were fine and arranged stops at tea houses for rests along the way. He also managed to quickly reschedule our trek 1 day in advance due to possible block by the police for over crowds at the Sagadawa festival.
We said goodbye to David in Ali and flew back to Lasha by airplane where we had a guide from another company and, boy, were we glad we had David during our trip!
Unlike the other guide he is very attentive, very customer oriented, very educated and knowledgeable! Go for him if you decide to come to Tibet.
I will certainly use him again if I decide to go on any other areas he covers with his tours
