Description: Bali's only authentic Lebanese restaurant has been building its reputation as one of South East Asia's top Middle Eastern dining establishments. Head Chef Ziad Mzannar is accompanied by over 22 years of experience from the Middle East and Africa and delivers a wide array of the finest Lebanese and Middle Eastern dishes. From Hommos to Falafel on the vegetarian side to succulent grilled fish and tender grilled lamb kebabs; the menu covers all of Lebanon's famous exports and more. The venue is traditionally Lebanese themed with both table as well as cushioned ground seating available. An outdoor dining area surrounded by lush vegetation immediately reminds one that they are in fact in the tropics of Bali. Kick back and relax in the lounge area with aromatic shishas which are available in a plethora of different flavors, alongside the hymns and rhythms of classical arabic music. Events are held periodically hosting arabic musicians as well as belly dancing performances.Any visit to Bali would be incomplete without a stop here for those craving anything Middle Eastern!

We enjoyed our visit to LALRL on August 11, 2013. This followed our diasppointment with Pasargad (review written). The Menu illustrates that it is truly Arabic Restaurant, reinforced by its Lebanese Chef. On his recommendation, we opted for Grilled Fish. He ensured it's preparation in proper Halaal way (caught live from the pool at the back of the restaurant). The 3 appetisers and Kofta we ordered were rich in taste. Minor hicup with our bill so better to check it thoroghly. Two factors to note are 1) credit card not accepted, but there is BCA ATM next door and 2) no parking but we got lucky to find one across the road. Luckily did not have many patrons at 6-8pm on Sunday so no Shisha smell.

Shared a mezza platter consisting of five bowls from appetizer menu. All items were delicious. Also had crispy falafels which were the best I have tasted.
Then had the baclava which was a bit disappointing and very expensive for what we had. It was five small samples of various types of Lebanese desserts.
Overall we enjoyed our meal and will return - but give the desserts a miss!

I ate at Layali this afternoon and really enjoyed it! It was lovely to find a Lebanese restaurant in Bali, it's the first I've found. We had a meal and a shisha while sitting on the floor seating inside near the window. We were there for about two hours relaxing, enjoying the shisha and food. Would definitely recommend this place!!

We went there a couple of times and each time we try different dishes. The taste is just what we expected since the restaurant has no competition in the criteria. The service is good but it can be better. I would recommend it to my friends but they shouldn't have high hopes for it.

After reading reviews we were a bit hesitant but disappointed with local fair which we love to try we thought we would venture here. This is a beautiful restaurant ,ambience is perfect with seating on lounges with billowing curtains, beautiful lighting, great garden setting and excellent service. The food was excellent and we went back a second time we were so impressed. The tastes are fresh and flavourful. Good selection of middle eastern dishes. I suggest that you get many of the appetisers and try some of the pastry (filo) items.
