Description: Historical Dining Experience Cafe Batavia's Dutch Colonial Building & Interior Design. "It's A Must Visit while you're in Jakarta"
Reviewed 22 July 2016 via mobile

Although Indonesia hasn't much left overs of the Dutch colonial period, this café embraces the history and share its typical style with guestst. Please find prices a bit overrated compare to other places, but the location, the crew, the food, the views: even the live music in the weekend balances it.

I had the dim sums and that was really good.
People keep making pictures in and around the place and that is for a reason.

What a nice place, you feel you go back a century as you go in... Well preserved with lots of nice decoration. The food is wonderful and nice wine list! Also, entertaining live music on the ground floor.

depends on where you live or stay in Jakarta.. if you are near to this part of J... its worth of a visit..
around the cafe there are many museums but don't expect too much.

the ambiance is nice.. menu offers variety of dishes both asian and western.

food quality is just fine... you probably will get the same quality with cheaper price at a mall food court. i suggest you only get drinks and toast..

when you book, ask for a window seat...

will I visit here again? If I have another good friends of mine visit me over weekend, yes.

I live in Jakarta and often to come to batavia cafe for lunch or just for coffee..
Food is nessesary, but the place and it's atmosphere is always magic.. From here you can go around to the old city or you can take a break after you got around the old city, up to you.. this place is full recommended to traveler which pick the old city into the list. Price is still valuable, service is good, standard of a western cafe,. Love to come back to this cafe..
