We were introduced to this place by friends who live in Jakarta, and we go there every time we find ourselves there. Most recently was CNY weekend.
I would not call it a restaurant as such: if you are looking fine dining, forget it. If you are looking for fine meat, read on.
It started life as a high quality butcher, and one day someone said "why don't you set up a BBQ out the back, and cook the meat?"
So they did.
Imagine the beauty and simplicity of this model. Great quality meat, seasoned properly so Singaporeans need not go there, and grilled as you ask for. Yes, basic side dishes but I don't want my meat to be overshadowed.
Bring your own, the corkage is a laughable IDR100k and you can get a Bintang from the fridge for IDR29k (so you might as well get two) and enjoy damn fine meat at a fraction of the cost of any other restaurant in Jakarta. And if you live in Singapore, a fraction of the cost of buying it in Cold Storage and cooking at home.
