Interesting to see Dutch themed buildings in an Asian setting. However, the place is not well maintained and was just too crowded. Nice to go for some picture taking, and visiting the museums, but the Dutch "feel" to it is very minimal. Perhaps it was beautiful in its heydays.
The river is heavily polluted. While promoting wonderful Indonesia, what they mean is not so wonderful traffic, dishonest vendors, expensive overcharged foods for tourist, corrupted officers, runned down attraction, dirty and smelly charged toilet, unpleasant underground smelly tap water, polluted air. So much to say of it's wonders apart of the beauty of it's nature.
Nice place, good atmosphere, the guys at the ticketing were friendly, the place are clean.
Too many street musicians, and some of them are annoying
weekends are when more activities are available. stuffs like arts and crafts, buskers are seen. the old buildings are attractive.
Nice place, nice scenery but the place need conservation and preservation. It offers many selfie spots to visitors.
