This is a very nice hotel in Jakarta. Stayed two nights and it was a great experience. Staff was very warm and welcoming. The rooms are very nice. Great beds - good shower and very clean rooms. I was delighted to spend the time in the hotel. The food was very good as well. We ate dinner one night in the hotel at a very large international buffet and there was enough variety to satiate even the pickiest among us. All of the food was very good and very nicely prepared and presented. Traffic getting to the hotel (and pretty much everywhere in Jakarta is shocking - but that's Jakarta) can be tough but it's worth it. They did a very nice job with a function we put on in the hotel as well. All of the staff was very accommodating and eager to please. Don't miss the Spa - great massages at very reasonable prices! The Club Lounge is open late (wine & cheese) and a great way to wind down the evening.

Room Tip: Don't miss the Spa. Massages were surprisingly affordable and very well done. The Club Lounge is...

Classic rooms similar to other Marriots worldwide with the addition of airport like security when entering the hotel due to the hotel's somewhat unfortunate past. While it may be inconvenient it is definitely better this way than without. Staff are efficient and totally up to par with requests. Facilities at the hotel are of standard 5-star level and breakfast is great with a wide selection of non-halal meats as well which was quite surprising. Room's are clean and up to what is expected from this standard of hotel and bathroom was spacious and well equipped.

Highly recommended if you need to be around this part of the Jakarta CBD area.

Eventhough the Hotel location is a bit interior from City... it was a nice Stay.
The rooms were big and comfortable and nice decorated rooms.
The Restaurant Buffet had various types of food and VIP rooms for Dinner Meetings was good in Restaurant.
The Front Office Staff was very pleasing and checkin and chect out was quick and easy.

This is a regular standard five star hotel with no frills. The gym/fitness is well equipped. The pool is relatively small almost decorational. I found the rooms quite ok with good bed. The breakfast is quite ok but not great (orange juice with strange by-taste, weak tea, and the rest of the food a bit undefined). So basically all is in order for a stable (almost boring) experience and nothing much to complain. If anything, then one can say that there is too much staff in the (relatively small) lobby at any given time. In the morning, when going to work, there are normally about six to eight people visibly present (estimate), everyone heartily greeting "good morning", one after the other. And the same in the evening. And the same during the day. And the same in the breakfast room. This can be too much of a good thing, although maximum points for good intentions. For the rest there are the standard issues such as overcrowding during the weekend with local guests who are occupying at a steep discount, staff at times taking the guest elevator instead of service elevator, and the roomkey-card having to be recharged at times. All in all reasonably good vfm.

Room Tip: both sides ok, depends if you wish sunset or sunrise. higher rooms less traffic noise.

Dear Respected Guest,

Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback of services at our hotel. We are happy to know that you had the chance to try our gym and delighted with the facilities we provided.

We do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay. We certainly understand of the hassle you had to go through especially with the hotel’s crowd in the weekend and your room keycard. With regards of your room key, the magnetic stripe on the key is a bit sensitive, especially when it is placed close to a mobile device or other materials with magnetic part such as credit or debit cards. We are currently working hard to solve the issue and improve our services.

We appreciate your time and look forward to welcoming you back at our hotel.

Warmest Regards,

Very friendly, efficient welcome when checking in. Room was classical for JW Marriott hotel. Breakfast buffet was absolutely superb. Personnel was very amiable at all times. Be aware that security checks once you want to enter the hotel are pretty heavy, but this is rather reassuring than disturbing.

First visit to this hotel. Tight security but very friendly and efficient, so no big deal.

Had a room on exec floor. Great Marriott bed as usual. Quiet room, well lit, good size. Everything worked as it should. Great Internet, one of the speediest I have seen.

Nice club lounge, excellent and helpful staff. Cocktail session seemed to last for ever and range of snacks very good.

Breakfast in lounge was OK. Probably should have tried their famed buffet downstairs, just got lazy. The selection of dishes a shade on the quirky side. Mapu tofu and Bulgolgi at 8am is not probably going to do it for me.

I will definitely be back. For the money it's a decent deal....

One of my pet peeves in most Asian hotels is quality of coffee. Theirs was great and only downside was I drank three times as much as I usually do and ended up watching a lot of late night TV.

The Indonesian dishes I ordered for lunch on two occasions were really good. The prawns on the USA Byland were maybe the biggest I have ever seen and the chili sauce was to die for if you like a little heat. Definitely be doing those again.

Took a very painful and ridiculous 3 hour car ride to reach the hotel from the airport. This city needs help

After the 2 bomb attacks, the hotel enacted a fortress-like entrance with extra distance between the car drop-off and actual lobby. The lobby is large but one can tell the hotel is ageing. The service is great though

The room is normal sized and has the boring old browns. Luckily the flat screen and shower stall are there, not just the dangerous bathtub

Only stayed for 1 night so didn't get to use the gym and pool but feedback from colleagues on the gym service was also very good

To avoid the incredible traffic, we had dinner, breakfast and lunch all in the hotel. The spread and quality in general was very good. Though if i had to nitpick, some dishes were repeated for lunch and dinner. And the sushi/sashimi was average. Service was very good as usual

Had a full day meeting in 1 of their conference rooms. Service in general was good, but they did take 1-2 hours to give us the password for the wifi

Overall a very good hotel but will try not to return to jakarta unless absolutely necessary. The ride back to the airport took a more tolerable 2 hours but the plane was stuck on the tarmac for 1 hour. Torture
