“Good alternative to guesthouses”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 January 2014

25$ for a night with breakfast (agoda). We stayed 2 nights in room #1616 (the 16th floor)

"+"
basic room with enough space,
quiet airconditioning,
good wifi,
nice sunset view,
there is a shop on the first floor with snacks, water and so on,
swimming pool,
breakfast (fried rice, fried noodle, boiled eggs, watermelon + tea/coffee/water)

"-"
the waterheater was out of order, so we didn't have hot shower during our stay,
small and dirty balcony with cigarette ends,
the room & the toilet seemed clean at the first look, but then I looked closer at the floor(especially in the toilet) I decided to wear my shoes ))

How to get there on your own (from the airport)

1. You need a bus from the airport to the Gambir(30 000 IDR ~ 3$)
2. Ask the driver to stop near the Grogol (Transajakarta Bus Stop)
3. Take a bus from Grogol to Indosiar (Transajakarta Bus Stop). It takes about 5-10 minutes to go there.
4. When you get off, you need to walk about 7 minutes to CCSA (you can see it from the bus stop).

Taxi from the hotel to the airport cost 110 000 IDR (taxi meter).

So, for 25$ per night this hotel is good alternative for guesthouses. A basic room with a comfortable bed, wifi, windowi )) Not very clean, but for several nights is ok!

Have a good rest!

Room Tip: Rooms on 16th floor have good wifi and nice view (ask to get a room on the sunset side).

I paid $33 for a night (promo - so called half price) but disappointed that it was barely a 3 starred accommodation. Agoda advertised it as a 4 starred hotel/service apartment. I would rather give it a 2 star.

You had 3 choices for breakfast (Indonesian style fried rice, Indonesian style fried noodle or scrambled egg) and a cup of coffee/tea. There is definitely no buffet as written by one of the reviewer. I wonder how was that come about. The breakfast area can only accommodate a few tables (8 to 10) and there is slim chances setup for any buffet.

On day 1 I waited for 45 minutes (urged two time) to serve a scrambled egg with 2 pieces of white toast (no margarine or butter). At 9:30 am there was only 2 other hotel guests waiting for breakfast. On day 2, my scrambled egg came 15 minutes later with 2 lice of toast laced with chocolate syrup and a small plate of watermelon.

1 bar out of 4 wifi signal strength on my 19th floor room. Cell phone signal was very weak at this height too.

Room was small with no toiletries (no toothbrush, shower cap, facial soap, hair conditioner, shampoo, shower cap). Only liquid bath gel available. There was only two bath towel and no other hand or facial towel. The small sink came off from attachment from the wall and was not fixed.

It was written somewhere in small print that If you do not make a specific request to make up the room the housekeeping will not do it. That was why after our first night stay we laid our wet towel on the floor and expected to change but no one came in the room to clean it.

However, on the day of checkout we went down for breakfast, upon returning to the room at 11am we found the room was make-up. However, we noticed that the bedsheets was not changed. The housekeeping merely tuck in the clean bed sheet we slept on for the last 2 nights. We noticed because we had a small stain on the sheet we make (if you know what I meant).

The room wall paper next the air conditioner blower was dripping with water moisture. The bad insulation of the pipe is such that you can hear the condensation water dripping at night.

Acess to the Service apartment is hard to find. Eventually, you see the name of the apartment on the top floor of this high rise from the road side of Daan Magot . Driving from east to West on Daan Magot road, you have to tell the taxi driver to pass the Shell gas station, then pass the BNI bank and just a meter or two before the KFC restaurant you turn right into a lane. Otherwise the taxi would drive in circle to find a way to the apartment.

Would I stay there for the price? Yeah, yes. But you do not expect much. Front desk clerks were helpful. There was a pot hole on the floor right near the reception area and it was accumulated with dirt. So I presumed that it was at least there for a few months and management did not bother to do something about it.

The decent size swimming pool was slight raised 2 feet above ground and so the tile surrounding it was wet and slippery. So be careful when you are there.
Location of the service apartment is not in the center of the tourist area where you easily reach the Ciputra Mall. The hotel is located west of the Jakarta city. However, with the cheap Jakarta taxi and a few extra minutes (if no traffic jam) the 1 to 2 km extra distant was not a big concern to me.

Room Tip: Higher floor might be quieter from the traffic

Booked that place to be close to Cengkareng and airport. 2Tower high rise apartment block approx. opened since 1 year. Large pool but not very inviting to rest do to lack of nice furniture, bar etc. Small resto offering a very limited choice of breakfast and in-house mini market for all the nessesary dailies. Small Chinese Resto opposite of a small channel and a KFC at the corner Daan Magot and the small lane leding to the hotel. Closest shopping at Ciputra Mall around 10 min by taxi if no jam. Staff is friendly. Got a room at 16th floor. Clean and size as ok and AC was silent and efficient. Actually the rooms provide a small balcony. Door was looked.Presume due to protection kids.Anyhow staff offered to open it for me. Finally again: you get what you pay for. Actually the confirmation reads that credit cards are accepted but while payment staff mentioned that they are not accepted. Either mistake by the dot.com or the hotel managmend wants to avoid cc fees.

Spent a comfortable 2 nights at the hotel. Room was clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Short, open, well-lit walkway to the city, where there is also a Shopping Mall for those necessities you may have forgotten to pack for the trip.

Enjoyed the variety on the breakfast buffet, especially the outstanding selection of menus at the station. There were omelets made to order.

All the staffs are very helpful, friendly and sincere. Specially one staff that is the receptionist, her name Ayu if i'm not mistaken.

All in all, a pleasant stay.
