“Good Value”
Reviewed 11 February 2014

Compared to other Indian restaurants in Jakarta, the prices for the quality of food were very reasonable: about $340,000 for three people. Unfortunately when we arrived (for lunch) the tandoor wasn't fired up so they couldn't serve naan, which was a big disappointment. We were also the only patrons during what should have been a busy lunch hour. The food was good, complex but not spicy, although servings were on the small side. Be prepared for a "faded glory" kind of atmosphere though: cracked mirrors, mismatched glasses, dusty walls. In fact, we got glasses that had clearly been wedding favors. It was kind of cute, really. Come for the food, not the decor. Call them! They deliver- all the way to Jakarta Selatan we were told.

“No Glam, Food Wham!”
Reviewed 9 September 2013

Not too bad of a deal, considering my wife and I ate for under $12 USD. This place is not much to look at on the inside or outside, but the spicy food is delicious! This was our second visit to this restaurant, we had a vegetarian plate packet, ayam packet, and Tikki Masala Goat. The packets come with naan, rice, yogurt, a side, and a main dish for about 35,000 RP (Cheap, but not when compared to other local cuisine). Every time we go, we only see a couple other people in the place, so it kinda feels like it is our own spot. I could imagine not too many of the locals (Indonesians) like the Indian spices, and most certainly they would not expect to see a bulai liking this kind of food. If you like Indian food, don't be afraid to go to Pasar Baroe to check this place out, if only for the excellent flavor you will find! This place is definitely better than Gokul.

“Not what I expected...”
Reviewed 27 February 2013

I had passed by this restaurant gadzillion times but had never tried. The restaurant looks old an like a hole in the wall kind of place.. There was no other guests when we were there. We ordered Aloo Gobi, Biryani and Mango Lassi. The Biryani was very good. I personally did not like the Aloo Gobi and the Lassi was too runny.
