“Wonderful stay in Yogya”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

I lived at Tigalima for almost a year and loved it every day. My room Flores was so beautiful, comfortable, private, quiet, and full of natural light (far from the kitchen and upstairs). The whole compound is safe, lush, and away from the main street so you feel peaceful and relaxed at home. The staff take such a good care of you. The owners are young, open minded, and laid back so you feel at ease. The scooters for rent are excellent (I loved my scoopy!). Many residents are study abroad students, but you also find researchers and expats of various kinds. I highly recommend Tigalima! I will always live there when in Yogya.

Room Tip: Flores is my favorite. Sumba is great too.

Lovely hotel in the middle of the city of Yogyakarta. It has a nice garden and care. The rooms are so different from others which you must choose well. I was staying in Bali deluxe room and the price is under 25 usd for a room that usually cost more at other hotels. Breakfast is delivered to the room itself. I would definitely recommend.

My 2nd time staying in Tigalima Homestay for 18 days and this place never fail to make me feel like home.

Room: Java (Rupiah 185k/ SGD20 per night)
Located at level 1 but don't worry, you will have a good sleep at night.
The biggest room for superior.
Clean, with fridge, small LCD TV, and a small balcony.
Toilet was clean and with a big tub.
WIFI was complimentary inside the room and in the compound of Tigalima.
Aircon was not cold and leaking but all this was rectify the next day. Two thumbs up!

Breakfast was sent to the room every morning with the choice of coffee/tea and orange juice with either sandwiches, nasi goreng or mie goreng.

If you stay more than 1 week, you can choose the room in advance upon making the booking.

*During my stay, heard from the staff that some of the rooms are under makeover.

This won't be my last stay, see you guys again in October 2014!

We came recommended by a friend who was staying at this hotel a few days ago. The location is somewhat away from the city center (Jl Malioboro) but we wanted something quiet and this hotel is. They surrounded a beautiful garden. The reception guys are really nice. Pretty clean and well decorated. We stayed in room Lombok. Breakfast is delivered to the room. We ordered sandwiches every day but have more options. Nasigoren and Mie goreng. I recommend it for those looking for a cheap and clean option away from city traffic.

Many thanks to a friend who recommended TigaLima to me. It's really homey place with greenery in it. It's amazing quiet and cozy place, quite surprising contrary that within 300 meters range is a chaos-like of bustling traffic. Room is cleaned everyday, breakfast will be brought to your room at your time request. Be sure to order it the day before though. City center is just about 10 minutes by a cab or by a scooter you can rent there, just like me. Within walking distance, you can find nearby restaurants from the famous one to a food stall on the side of the street. If you need directions, asking the front desk staffs who are always beaming you with smiles will help you as much as having cement gloves in a boxing match.
