This small Hindu temple is quiet, un-touristed, and lovely. Be prepared for steps, since the temple is sunken. The site consists of one, lovely, restored main temple, and several unrestored side buildings. Climbing the steps to the main temple brings you to the sacred "linga" area. Other lovely statues are inset into niches on the outside of the building.
Since Sambisari Temple is located quite near the better-known Prambanan Temple, it would be easy to include it if you're in the area.
