Due to reasonable Indonesian prices ($62.75 per room per night) we were able to afford this hotel, far better than what we could afford in the US. The rooms and lobby are beautiful. In one alcove there's a gamelin and frequently during the day a musician sat there playing it. In another alcove a woman was painting batik. Breakfast featured a vast variety of foods from traditional Indonesian, to fruits, cereals, cooked dinner-type foods, an omelet station, about 6 different types of juices, etc. You can eat indoors or outdoors next to the pool with waterfall. The reception staff are very gracious and eager to help with any request. They lined up a driver to take us to Borobodur and Prambanan. They also allowed us to use their computer and printer and faxed (for $7) some papers back to the US for us. An inexpensive laundry service is available. It seems the hotel is still coming up to speed, because there's a sign to a non-existent convenience store in the hotel. There's one computer for the use of guests in the "library" which consists of only a few magazines in Indonesian.

The hotel was supposed to be new; however, the bathroom was full of mould. Construction works were not done properly, there were tons of gaps in the walls – a place for spiders, and there were a lot in our room. It is close to the mosque so be ready to be woken up at 4:30am. Housekeeping was poor – dust in the room, stains on the carpet.

hotel lobby, garden and staff were nice

I recently stayed at this hotel and found the staff very friendly and welcoming. The location is pretty good, about a 15 minute walk from Malioboro street, lots of pedicabs available out front and taxis are easy to get. The rooms are clean and really spacious. I would definitely go back.

I like it that the deluxe room is spacious. The breakfast was great, a lot of choices from American to Indonesian buffet. The staff were also friendly and helpful. However they are not allowing early check-in, unless we pay extra. We rent a scooter during our trip, and the hotel's location is preety much in the center of everything. The road in Jogja can be confusing because there are many one-way street. However we have a great experience in the hotel and touring the city.

I choose Jumbuluwuk hotel base on the trip advisor reviews and the reviews are spot on. The hotel is new and clean. The staff are the friendliest ever and trust worthy.
I arrived early and requested an early check in but unfortunately the hotel is fully booked so I have to leave my luggage with them packed with camera equipment and other expensive gadgets but not without asking the staff if they can guarantee its contents, with a slight grin on the face they gave a soft spoken assurance that took off any anxiety I have.
Check in is a little longer than usual. Breakfast buffet spread is great. You can request a takeout of your breakfast if your leaving early as we did when we went to a sunrise tour of borobudur temple with Ukhi the tour guide, who btw, is highly recommended by many, including me!
Rooms are spot on except for some very minor things... like towels not ironed well.
The location is not an issue specially when you have Ukhi as your guide. He is a tour guide and rent a car in one! He charges $50 a day for the tour and use of car with driver and he pays for parking!
On our second night my son was dehydrated and i did ask the staff where i can buy rehydrates and they just volunteered to buy it for me at 11:00 pm! Within minutes it's in my room already! great service and best front desk ladies. Will definitely stay here again if i come back jogja. (the locals often refer to yogyakarta as jogja)
Lastly, the beds are great too. Also, dont forget to watch the Ramayana Ballet.

Everything in the hotel were spotless, staffs were friendly and helpful. I booked 3 double rooms, and was allowed to check in into 1 room earlier because one of us were feeling unwell on the day we arrived. Nice smoking area, nice pool even though I didn't have a dip.

The location is quite a walk from Malioboro but you can take becak for Rp.20.000,- one way, good supermarket (just in case you need something) is close by, good food are everywhere. One thing spot on to me was the use of computer/internet for free in the lobby, it's really helpful for those who need internet access and have no computer with them. I would probably stay in this hotel again in the future.

Room Tip: my room on the 8th floor was fine, elevator was fast. so I guess on whatever level you are staying w...

it is quite a new hotel but unfortunately some parts of our room is peeling off. Other than that it is an excellent hotel to stay during a visit to Yogyajkarta. You can find the Javanese touch all over the hotel and I commend the staff for helping us with our queries all the time with a smiling face. Rooms are large, and ours is facing the garden. Check in and out was a breeze and we quite enjoyed our stay here.
