Each villa is amazing. A master bedroom down stairs right on the pool with 2 smaller bedrooms upstairs each room with their own bathrooms. A great lounge and kitchen which can be fully opened up to the pool which is of a reasonable size. Kitchen is great with large fridge and all the cutlery plates etc that you could possibly need if you want to cook for yourself - which is great when you have a kid with food allergies- as it means you can bring some of your own safe food and store it in the fridge and then cook it up.
Some negatives however - it is a bit far from centre of town (about a 20 minute taxi ride away-Rp 40000($4.00 aud)) I had mistakenly assumed that it would have becaks out the front that would take us on any short errands we would like to run, because although you could walk to restaurants - in the heat of the day with young or sick ones not always an option. If you can afford it just rent a car for each day then you won't at least have the hassle for the short and long trips.
There is also no phone in the villa - and I am not keen on paying roaming changes just to ask for toilet paper. I would suggest management also put in at least a direct line to the "butler".
Some other suggestions (considering the cost) is the supply of a hair dryer.
Also because of the distance to town, offering some type of food room service or providing the villas with pamphlets of restaurants that deliver would have been an option when not wanting to leave the villa for the evening.
The western breakfast menu, as outlined in your booklet is not particularly tempting. This perhaps needs to be looked as, as does the inclusion of a variety of Indonesian dishes. Having said all that the breakfast we asked for, was served promptly each day.
I also found it interesting, and something I did not understand at first, was that the staff did not have keys to the villas. So if we went out and locked up, the villa wouldn't be cleaned. Staff said this was because management wanted families to have privacy. I would have preferred staff to have keys, and the villas provided with a do not disturb sign, so at least then the villa would not remain open the entire day.
Rooms are not completely sealed, and although I did not get bitten in the master bedroom, my son upstairs did.
Overall staff were very friendly and helpful. A great place for families to stay without feeling like your are in a hotel.
Oh and PS it is very near to Rumah Mertua. Taxi drivers seem to know where that is, though not kharma villas. So tell them that and then direct from there.
