It is within walking distance to Tamansari, and you would be amazed by the shape of the underground walk around, and the solak cubicle inside, and other ruins nearby.

After visiting Taman Sari(Water Castle), don't miss this interesting place. Just walk about 10-15 minutes, then go to a underground tunnel. Then you will see a quite unique structure that consists 5 staircases. Frankly speaking, it was out of my imagination of this mosque looks like. However, I do like the mood of the tunnel that led you to a mysterious place.

The acoustics are amazing and the 5 stair cases and windows make for cool pictures. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. It's pretty hard to find though. Many of the people you ask are more interested in guiding you for a fee than helping you. Persistence pays off. Apparently, there are free concerts here on Saturdays.

I wasnt really impressed with this one.. When I was walking down to the underground I expected something a bit better than just going round in a circle and it was done... Nothing really to see.

The underground mosque is a network of (empty) tunnels and rooms, including 5 staircases which interlaced. It is part of Taman Sari.

If you stand at the correct place in the tunnel, you can very good acoustic, try clapping and the sound travels far, interesting!

This place is not easy to find, best to have a guide when visiting the Taman Sari to bring you around.
