It could be great if We didn't stay in room 801. Stay away from this room, there's terrible noise, like from airplane, all day long which give me headache...forget about peaceful sleep.

We arrived at 1 AM and realized that we could only get 'leftover' room but I didn't expect this bad...The noise from central Air conditioner was very bad and noisy. We asked for another room and they said there were no room left. The hotel should not sell this kind of room even if they are full booked. We stayed for 3 nights and they do absolutely nothing to reduce the noise (despite on last night one maintenance guy came to our room to check)

Pros : Superb location close to Tugu, malioboro, and railway station. Excellent service during breakfast time with vast and quite delicious selection, smooth and fast check in-check out.

Cons (Beside the noise) : slow respond to complaint, housekeeping could be better cleaning the room.

What a pity...Harper could give us a nice experience and we truly love the location, but we won't take a risk ruining another holiday and stay there again.

Room Tip: Stay away from 801

I had high expectations of this Hotel. 3 months ago we stayed in Grand Zuru and we thought this hotel looked better. It does look better but there are some things that did not meet expectations. 1. Breakfast is good, but I had way better quality breakfast in other hotels in Yogya. 2. The room we stayed (318) was very noisy when the guest next door took a shower. During the day no problem, but not nice if you want to sleep at 23:00 and your neighbour decides to take a shower. (I guess they also heard us when we took a shower). 3. The standard rooms are a little small.

But on the the good points, the staff is excellent. Always smiling and polite. They are an example how staff should be! Location is very good. So close to Malioboro Road, the most touristic street in Yogya. And also close to the famous Yogya road monument. The hoteldesk is helpful and polite. So if you need a hotel in the center of Yogya, this is a good choice. But I will try another hotel next time we are in Yogya. But thanks for the good service Hotel Harper!

Near Malioboro street and Tugu Yogyakarta, near traditional food like angkringan, clean and good food for breakfast. Very comfort to sleep, easy to accomodation and humble staff. At lobby hotel have cafe and barkery, very cheap not expensive

Stayed here for 2 nights in a superior double room and it was great. The room was clean and the bathroom was so nice (and with hot water of course). The wifi connection was excellent in our room. The staff speaks good English and they are super attentive.

The location is central, very close to Jl. Maliboro.

Breakfast (which is included) is insane. There is extreme amounts of different food so you'll definitely find something you like.

We have stayed in Harper Mangkubumi for four nights from 19 Nov - 23 Nov. The front desk staff is helpful and nice. The room is clean. The breakfast is not bad. I was impressive by one of the hotel staff who sought my comment on the restaurant and the room. I gave comments on the choice of food and the overhead shower problem in my room. To my surprise, the hotel reacted quickly. The overhead shower was fixed and the breakfast of the next day was improved. I am very appreciate that they are listen to customer’s comment and advice and take immediate improvement.
