One can only be proud and amazed by this family of artists' diligence and perseverance. Kudos to the parents who worked hard and taught their children and grandchildren discipline and handwork.

Mr Jose Blanco and his wife died not so long ago. Mr Blanco was once a fisherman in the nearby Laguna de Bay/Laguna Lake.

There are about 50 to 80 art works in this family museum.

Always call in advance to determine if they are open.

I spent about 5 hours in this place. I dont know much about art but it was amazing. The only reason I didn't rate it as excellent is I would have hoped they would put someone who would explain a bit about the place.

Arguably one of the best known families in the small town of Angono (Rizal) is that of artist JOSE “PITOK” BLANCO. It’s almost incredible that not only Pitok and his wife paint, but all of their seven children (none of whom reportedly had any formal training in painting) and most of their young grandchildren! And their works are proudly on display at the family’s ancestral home turned museum in Angono. Rows upon rows of magnificent paintings, from small to huge, with the finest and minutest details readily evident, in landscapes, in portraits and facial features, in fiestas and merry family gatherings, in dresses and costumes, in daily life and commerce, in everything. Some so eerily mirror-like images you can easily mistake them for photographs. You will surely be amazed by the exact accuracy of each stroke of the painter’s brush, of each crease and wrinkle, of each hue and shade. But don’t take my word for it. Go there and become an instant believer and admirer yourself.
