The approach to this place is a bit unpromising along a covered alleyway. However, the place is beautifully laid out with some lovely gardens. The resort is not called Steps for nothing and there are a lot of steps up to the higher cottages - so not ideal for the less than mobile. Very friendly reception and great little restaurant too with a good seslection for breakfast and for larger main meals. I was booked into a Standard Room (they are all individual cottages) - it was pretty small and basic but had a nice firm double bed, a small TV and plenty of shelf space. The bathroom was also pretty basic but the shower had hot water and everything was kept very clean. The real delight of the cottages though are the verandas in front of each. None of them are overlooked and are a great place to laze away an afternoon with great views out over the bay. As a resident you get a 10% discount at the restaurant and also at Tamarind Restaurant on the beach which has the same owners.
